CL is waste. what is the true purpose of this? Nothing but money making event for Mr modi and his team. They will be the ultimate winner. I hope most recognised players will opt out of this senseless tournment
This is the second example of a true sportsman by another Australian. Earlier Ponting declared his rtirement from T-20 version to focus on ODI and tests (which are true form of cricket and are real character check of a cricketer skill)...and now Clark has opted out from an event which never comes before national duty.
Guys...I don't feel shame in saying that Australians are only true professionals despite all sledging, cheating norms. They do what is in true favour of a game, a country. And not like our Indian players who ever believe in personal interest.
Australians are true sportsman and professional...and I feel proud for them and their country...undoubtebly my own Indian players have made me Shaming on them (as they put money, fame and records before national pride) despite they lead a country and millions people, who go for cricket like a religion.
I truly respect you Australians national duty spirit.

I agree with you. They dont run after money. our cricketers go blindly chasing money. Not only australia, all players from other countries are very balanced and display true sportmanship. It can never come in any indian player

Fine...I agree with you that he is not a good T-20 player so he is opting out..
But is it a championship, where national selectors (ACB) are involved and he has opted due to fear of loosing his place due to the bad performance.
Again, he has got the sign-up amount with NSW for playing this championship...he can loose this contract since he is not playing.
Hope as a intelligent cricket fan, you would have considered these points before posting your comment.

@Rajeev, Whether a good T20 player or not thats a different thing.....I ask u a question.......if u get so much money will u not play in it if u r not good T20 player And by the way, do u think in Champions league T20 and also in IPL who play there and get a handsome amount of money, are all good T20 player??? For that reason we can praise clarke by putting national team first not money
That was a great desion by an Australian that not to play for money and fit him self for the country.Indian players also learn from him we a injury to sehwag last session of IPL.

May be he is not a good player in T20 but I believe his bowling in Indian pitches would be very handy......as an allround player they will miss him
and by the way many Indian cricketers certainly play in champions league by giving miss to national team for sure(once dhoni not played in 3 tests for India but played all IPL matches)
For that hats off to clarke for giving priority to national team not money
