Sehwag is one of the greatest Indian batsman to have played the game along with Sachin,Gavaskar and Dravid.Tests are the foundation and the base on which these batsmen have become what they are.No wonder all these batsmen still want to play at least 10 Tests every year amidst 20 twenty. It is surprising the bigwigs of BCCI doesn't understand this.India has played only 3 Tests this year

What he obviously means is that Sachin, Gavaskar and Dravid are also great Indian batsmen to have played the game. If you can't comprehend simple English, don't bother to comment.

JAIG:
;-).....
The phrase "... played the game along with Sachin, Gavaskar and Dravid." in no way means that Sachin, Gavaskar and Dravid are also great Indian batsmen to have played the game.
If you can't comprehend simple English, then obviously you are excused to think what you think...... :)

Excellent point! The money-hungry BCCI is systematically destroying Test Cricket in India. Shame on them! I understand the argument that in today's busy world, it's difficult to watch cricket over 5 days. But, I'm confident that the BCCI (& the ICC for that matter) will find a workaround (like Test Cricket under lights) if it were interested. But, they're so pre-occupied with other bubble gum formats like Twenty20 that I for one, can't tell for sure when India will play the next test match. I believe there's something scheduled against Pakistan early next year (which in all likelihood won't happen given the current environment) & that's about it. So, who knows when we'll see the likes of Sachin, Laxman & Sehwag in whites again!
Not only VEERU should play more test cicket. He is due to score another TRIPLE century and create a new world record for 3 triple centuries. VEERU is the best batsman in the world and the most destructive batsman in the history of cricket.

f*uck you m0r0n. Sachin Tendulkar is the best and Viru Sehwag is great after Sachin Tendulkar.
i think our talented commenting ppl are contributing a lot to rediff by giving differnt ideas in differnt angles and dimensions..... but i thank rediff for giving such opportunity...
In tests when batman settles its difficult to get them out... That too for openers if they get settle.. if they can bat till end and have max chances.. during that time they really enjoy testing the oponent bowlers.... if the ball if difficult to play they just leave it....and the whole effort by the bowler to bowl that best ball goes waste.. and then bowlers tries to do some experiments and bowl the bad balls...for which the batsmen are waiting...and he clears the bounday...dont need to run hard ....
