Many people had started talking about Dhoni's attacking skills. But, Dhoni beautifully adapts to conditions and plays the necessary role in the team (which many cannot understand). This is why he shares one of the highest averages. Of course, there r failures to count for. But who has never failed in their career? Sometimes, when you anchor but cannot finish the game then obviously all fingers raise. But, Dhoni is a natural leader who can lead from the front and this is a great quality in itself. He can anchor and attack at appropriate time.

rambo only You must be from a backward state where people don't work hard. Take bath in the street water and smell all the time. That's why you have so much dirt in you to point fingers at the greats like Gavaskar and Tendulkar. Likes of you go to Dhoni's house and break them when he fails
Its remarkable the way Sachin & Ponting play their game.
Sachin: Says that he has matured as a batsmen and has stopped playing his aggressive game. He seems to have lost that 'touch' - even though he still scores healthily. It seems that he is more effective if he plays his original game.
Ponting: He might have not spent 20 years in the game ... but he too has a lot of experience. Ponting has not changed his game and continues to be as threatening has he was years ago. He plays aggressively and seems to be getting better scores each year.
Many players who played aggressively never changed their game and then satisfied themselves by calling it 'maturity'. Viv Richards, Lara, Aravinda de Silva, Hayden, Gilchrist have played their game the same way.
Sachin's extra cautious approach is only going to fuel the view that he is playing only for his average/runs aggregate/records.
It is strange how Sachin is selfishly keeping his place in the team now when there are many young and talented players waiting in the wings. Sachin must now place the team and the future of Indian cricket before himself. All this points towards his selfishness of keeping himself in the limelight because of personal gains by way of his various endorsements and advertisements. If and when he does hit his next century, it will be only because of "the law of averages" as he is being given so many matches to play...... the same way one has to get a duck sometime between a string of centuries!

Why
can you go back to 2006-2008 when Sehwang had a series of failures and why he is still in the team. And after dropping luckily got a chance in playing against australia otherwise he would have been permanently out of the team. Don't simply criticise Sachin

The mere fact that a player failed in some matches is not a strong reason for dropping anyone! Sachin has proved every now and then and enjoys a far healthy average and strike rate compared to many other top players in the world.
If you could have a team of your own who would you choose between these Sachin or Shane Watson? Of course you'd have other playing 10 in the team as well.
