most of the guys getting attacked are not innocent.
these blokes sit in the Bus and start passing lewd comments on the women here. I myself feel disgusted to travel in a melb metro. Stop thinking that the students are innocent and donot deserve what they are getting

people who go for education need to study... not pass lewd comments on women and children.... btw its not my country... I am an Indian.. its just that I have been living here for a long time... Its important for us indians to act as responsible and respectable community. but most of the students are completely taking things for granted. I just thought... you would be seinsible and understand what the students are into...donot go by the media reports. they are misleading

If an indian student making lewd comments and that student was attacked then i agree to some extent with your argument, may be that student deserves it. But not all the cases are like this and there is a bit more than that. I don't believe that it's all triggered by indian students and Ausies are just responding, you are sounding like those who attecked are saints and simply responding. How do you explain the vandalism of the cars of folks of indian origin?

If you pay attention to details, there is a pattern with attacks and it is most likely due to racism/localism/regionism etc.

There is absolutely no reason to defend attacks on anybody no matter what the reason is. If an indian student made lewd comments, report it to authorities.

"Generic" means "overall".. You are still trying to slant it towards some form or fashion of "all outsiders" "all students" etc... :)

BTW, show me a crime free country in the world, and we all will go and live there... :)
