Re: All Rounder

I agree to this point, Irphan Patttan gave hope for couple of years but all of sudden seems to have lost confidence in himself. And Indian's are playing without All-rounder for several years now..
Why did they take part in domestic T20 games. For money only than why did they criticize these formats. If they dont like it than fine play for flag rather than for money

Read again... Nielsen said the following:
"It is a situation we grapple with every day. Dealing with players who play for Australia, domestic teams, the IPL or Champions League. Brett's played six one dayers in England, five in the Champions Trophy and then played the Champions League and it is no surprise that he has got an injury.
"We need to be careful but having said that when it comes to the Champions League and the IPL, we do need the best players to play these games as it is good for the product. We monitor our bowlers closely. We test them everyday to know how they go physically and mentally every day," said Nielsen in Nagpur on Tuesday.
The Australia coach said the loss of Johnson, Hopes and Lee would severely deplete his side with the bench not having enough experience at international level.
Where did you find that he "blamed" anything?
You are reacting to Rediff's creative art of writing up headlines.... :)

What india need is to play well under pressure . They are playing well but crumbling at crunch situations . So rather than changing teams they should reconsider tactics

If the coach is worried of theie Players then they should have asked the players not to play in the CLT20. Players need to eran money , fame also they should not be injured Funny Coach of Aussies

the coach is not the final authority in the players' decisions. he can only bring out issues; it is for the players to decide. but to say that he cannot say anything is truly funnier !

Which statement of Nielsen above do you NOT agree with?...

Indians were great players of spin in bygone era.We had very great spinners some of them did not even play test cricket . The best they did was to help our batsmen learn and develop the art playing aginst spin Bowling The times have changed first we do not have spinners of high calibre , naturally our batsmen do not develop skills of playing against spin . Most of the batsmen in the team today have very poor footwork - the last master was Ganguly .Spinners will get wickets against India , not necessarily specialist - even part time spinners .

I want to add one more point to this, we no more have quality or world class spinner. Bajji was a good spinner long time ago.. for past couple of years he is afraid of pitching ball on off stump or outside the off stump, which will not help getting wickets. Coming to medium pacers they regularly bowl short and outside the off stump as if they are tear away fast bowlers.
