I thought CL provided a very good preparation Ponting's men some of whom aren't used to playing in the subcontinent conditions. Maybe Ricky is learning something from our Dhoni bhai: come up with some excuse when you lose or when some opposition tailenders almost take away a match from you.
1. Symonds got high bidding, he showed his frustration. 2. Made many of his team mates not to play in IPL 2, but still was knocked out of T20 WC and lost Ashes. Not punter supporters dont boast off saying he won 6-1 and CT .... he was lucky, just look at the team he played in the finals ... escaped agst PAK 3. He knows if NSW gets to finals, they have less time and shud have planned better, but cries after the first match ...
I dont like this guy at all ... disgrace to be a role model
When they knew that NSW will be playing finals, board shud have opted these three players out of champions league and asked them to join ODI team well in advance
I don't no all baggal came from bihar and orisa they blaming sachin....One person what he will do.....What dhoni had archived...Don't come to forum with bagaal north and south issue....
Sorry Ponting it shows you r not talented as Indians...because we can play without any practice at all whether champions trophy, IPL or any other tournament we will be playing for the Indian Team without any complaint unlike u!!!
One of Sachin Tendulkar's remarkable cameo came in 1996 in a tri-series final against South Afric in South Africa. Due to rain India was chasing a target of 252 off 40 overs and Tendulkar blasted from start. Although an innings of 42 is not too significant but what I can remember is Sachin unleashed an array of unbelievable strokes against Allan Donald such as pre-determined pulling good length ball from outside off stump for four. That match also gave a glimpse of Rahul Dravid's talent in the years to come when he blasted Allan Donald for a straight six. India lost the match which was customary in those days.

Sachin is legend of cricket. But no one should doubt even dravid capability as a hitter. If he is assigned a job for hitting, he can paly quicker inning than dhoni as he is technically sound batsman. Dravid has played many ODI innings with more than 1005 strike rate which clearly suggest that he is capable of playing fast inning but most of the time plays defensive role as required by team. Even laxman inning os 46 of 30 balls in champion league clearly suggest that players like dravid/laxman are hugely talented & can change gear any time if required. Its just dhoni obsession with youngter & regional politics that is keeping talented players like laxman/dravid out of ODI team.

Looks like other team players don't play like this.. Who can forget Inzaman in the pressure semi final of world cup.. it is much much more remarkable than the above knocks of sachin and dravid.. Note that I am from Zimbabwe...
