Sachin and dhoni should take voluntary retirement
by kalnayak on Oct 26, 2009 03:47 PM

Sachin and dhoni should voluntarily retire from international cricket as there are not of much use to the present Indian team

POINTING LEADS BY EXAMPLE
by abhishek on Oct 26, 2009 03:10 PM  | Hide replies

Pointing as a player is good, consistent and takes up the challenge whenever required...his knocks are all very fresh and comes in important matches...like 2003 WC FINAL Against INDIA who were trashed to all corners of the ground with NO MERCY.

He has a good cricketing mind as he has been in the game for almost 13 years...so knows all the aspects of the game. Has a prudent approach.

A captain should have enough knowledge of game before leading a side...which is lacking in MR.CHATTER BOX DHONI.

MR.CHATTER BOX only knows to babel in a very unconvincing manner to create conterversies in post match conference. His confidence is not driven by the knowledge in the game which he lacks....learn from pointing.

No INDIAN CAPTAIN HAD A FAIRY TALE END TO HIS CAREER. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING DHONI"

ponting is consistent????? just see the last two years...ok.
Dhoni is one of the best captain for India. The main prob is that dhoni is not playing his natural game. Also see the past records of dhoni as a captain..its really brilliant...i think u should think before commenting others..

Roy

Dhoni has won some matches. Recently he has not won many matches, however.

If Ponting has not been consistent, just see the last 4 years of ICC ranking of Australia.. ok?.. :)

I remember you guys were praising dhoni a lot when he gave India some pride in getting so many victories which were due from ages...then for one or two series u say that head weight and arrogant ponting as good...ofcourse he might be good....but all are human beings and all need some support when they are down...in my view..dhoni deserves that support from the people as I have told u, he has given many first wins to india overseas...

by subrata banerjee on Oct 26, 2009 02:43 PM  | Hide replies

cricket is a game of most uncertainty. Probably Mr.Ponting forgot this proverb and thought game was won right after 46th over when Harbhajan and his partner (remember, both tail enders)almost about to clinch the victory and stopped just 4 runs away. Remember, india is a tough oponent and be ready for real battle for the next time.

India in India is always a tough opponent for any visiting team. Even a new look Australian team was able to screw team India on a turning track on which the so called world-class spinners on team India went for plenty.

Ajit Agarkar
by Forrest Gump on Oct 26, 2009 02:35 PM  | Hide replies

Its proved time and again in last 6 months that Indian bowling is poor and is leading to losses one after the other....why not get Agarkar back...he is a wicket taking bowler, a breakthrough giving bowler and his record against Australia is very good...don't think Munaf or Tyagi will make any difference to this bowling attack...dhobi keeps lamenting that Indian team lacks a bowler who can bat well in last few overs and is still ignoring agarkar who can do the same...time for Dhobi to bow down his stubbornness (who knows its because of Raj Thackeray that he is ignoring a good ODI bowler like Agarkar) and get back Ajit Agarkar into the team...a bowling attack of Agarkar, Nehra, Harbhajan and Mishra will be a good one...with Sehwag and Yuvraj as 5th bowlers...

Why all brickbats for Sachin only
by Forrest Gump on Oct 26, 2009 02:31 PM

He won CB series last year against Aus and was MOM in the only other final India won since 2 years that against Sri Lanka in September 2009.....what abt other team members...when will they learn to win themselves against a good team like Aus or South Africa instead of depending on a good Sachin score all the time.

If Austrailians have scored over 320 runs perhaps I would have agreed , with the star they got .Ultimately the score was less than 6 runs per over . You have won becuase India Bowled poorly ,Feided atrociously and batted like novice - does not show over 1000 one day match experience of all the players.

remember buddy..., Shane Watson bowled almost an over completely made of full-tosses. That was really bad bowling. That particular over cost 20 runs. It was bad bowling from the Aussies that made this match closer than what it should have been.

So you mean to say that Australia didn't play well enough.... :)

Great.... So did India play well enough?.... You answer that in the negative too.... :)

Perhaps the first ODI wasn't played at all.... we all are just dreaming.... right?.... :)

Dude ..3 or their frontline bowlers didnt complete their quota ..only mitchell did.Match looked close just because of below par bowling by Watson ..or rather it was decided to be on those lines
