I don't understand how Jadeja is better than Yusuf Pathan. I can understand that jadeja is good talent and nothing to take away from him but still Yusuf pathan is much better than him in batting and bowling is similar too. YP gave breakthrough in lot matches where he bowled.
We need a batsman who can bowl medium pace ( Bowling Alrounders), in the likes of Yuvraj Singh or Virendra Sehwag in No.7 & 8 positions, just like Nuwan Kulasekhara of Sri lanka. We are having bowlers Munaf,Ishant, R.P.Singh can not bat or cannot score. That is why we persisted with Yusuf Pathan so long. He is the only fearless hitter. Dhoni once upon time a big slogger become world famous nudger. If Sehwag and Yuvraj are out cheaply it is difficult for the team to score 220 in 50 overs. Sachin is just hanging in his place he just plays occassionally to keep his place.

Ravindra Jadeja is another one from the breed of Hemang Badani, Dinesh Mongia, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, Sridhar Sriram and many more. A middle order batsman and a utility spinner. But these kind of players have always been considered as softmost targets after any series or tour collapse so he is not going to be any exception. I really see it very hard for the poor lad to cement his place in the side.

jadeja,make dhoni as a good frd....then only ur place may be be cemented,until u give a very bad performance like RP.......otherwise for u no chance

I am very sorry about him. He is somebody blessed with lot of potential but no brain to use that. Unlucky lad first ruined his Cricket career then tried his bad luck into movies and failed again and eventually collapsed in Politics also trying a ticket of a local party rather than some national or atleast state level party.
I hope he oils his aging knees for some struggling Ranji side, perform well with the bat and atleast get some good contract from some IPL team from next couple of years. I am sure his honoured friend Sachin would arrange this much favor for him.
jadeja shud learn from siddhu, who was reportedly considered as strokeless wonder by rajan bala, who himself described the same siddhu as best hitter of the game. the earlier comments siddhu motivated siddhu to work hard in the nets n come out trumps in reliance cup 1987. jadeja has good potential to b an all rounder. only thing is he shud put some aggression.

you got a valid point. We need hitters that is why after failing too many times, team had persisted with yousuf pathan. I have seen Ranji 20-20 matches not a single hitter in the caliber of K.Pollard of West indies.
