Sachins been playing for 20 years and in this time he wasnt the best batsmen always, there were times when Lara was better(even Shastri said this),Inzi,Martin Crowe,Waugh Brothers,Anwar,Ganguly and soooooo many batsmen, even Dravid was playing sooo good in overseas that he overshadowed sachin, not to mention the Srilankan Legands De Silva,Jayasurya and AUS Pontings etc./.but Has Gavaskar ever praised any other Batsmen since Sachin came to scene?i dont remember,he is a sick obsessed maniac, who knows only two things,to obsess with Sachins personal landmark and bad mouth Aussies.. He even said that Dhoni is trying to prolong his career and bats accordingly..what a shame Gavaskar is...

Ya but even at that time when X was better Y Sunil never really praised them,he only praises Sachin..dont think Sachin is all invincible,he took like 74 matches to score his first 100 and there were so many players who have scored odi hundreds batting low down order and have been number one bat in this last 20 yrs when sachin wasnt..u guys make it sound that since he came to cricket no other batsmen has come even close there r lots of records that he hasnt broken,he couldnt even break the 194 Anwar scored against us.

No doubt the series will be Sachin vs AUS. Yesterdays match has proved the same. All 10 players in our team are statues and proved that they are usless when Sachin goes back to pavellion. However, still 2 matches to go. Sachin will answer by his bat to ensure 4-3 win over Aussies.
Try to schedule urgently some Test matches for team India than just eulogising Sachin Tendulkar.Use your influence within the board to explain the businessmen and the politicians in BCCI about scheduling Test matches.
It is the old habit of our old experts. They think they are eulogising Sachin but in fact succeed in only pressuring him. But Sachin also is mature enough not to get pressurised by such hackneyed tactics. Indian team has ten more players, at least 3 to 4 of them have been making comparable contribution for the past two years. But as they say, a person blinded during rainy season keeps seeing everything thing green(sawan ke andhe ko hara hi hara soojhata hai). I feel Gavaskar and his likes (Shastri, Harsha Bhogle etc) cannot help it and need not be blamed.

You are grossly underestimating Sunil Gavaskar. I have been following Indian cricket for the last 35 years and haven't come across any Indian cricket player, coach, selector or administrator who is even remotely as shrewd, succinct, sharp and sarcastic as Sunny. Sometimes, he has even been prophetic.
Just remain laid back till the series is over and brood over the performance of Sachin vis-a-vis the proclamation by Sunny and you will realise how Sunny will be bang on target!
WHY IS IT SO?? IS GAVASKAR WRONG HERE? DO PEOPLE FEEL HE IS MUMBAIKAR? DO PEOPLE FEEL HE IS ONLY TALKS ABOUT SACHIN AND NOT OTHER CRICKETERS.? IS GAVASKAR MUMBAICENTRIC?

Dhoni may be the captain. But india shines when Sachin shines. We cannot say that about too many other players. May be Yuvi, Sewag and Gambhir have shined in parts. However, no one is consistant like the great Sachin!

Very true. Just as Rahul Dravid keeps "holding the inning together" he did so well during the recent CT. Let us stop talking in the langguage of a bygone era.
Let the Aussies see how this master can still destroy their bowling attack. I completely agree with Gavaskar that Sachin is always the man for India. I do not think the other playing 10 is necessary. Let Sachin alone play for India.
