one cannot be perfect..batting has to compensate the weakness of bowling. this side has decent bowling with inclusion of tyagi and munaf.

compensation for weakness of bowling is fine. But if the bowling is terribad as it has been for the past few months, there is no batting lineup that can cover the sorry bowlers we got.

Dhoni should be replaced with kartik imediately if India need to win. Also Gambhir to be dropped on present form. Except for one inning in ICC, he has failed in last 4 series. This much of chance even greats like dravid/laxman didn't get.

LOL ... what a joke ? We can crush the aussie team if we employ bowlers from say decent bowling teams like New Zealand. The current bowlers are pathetic at best. they won't even make it to the local club teams of Australia

actually, there's another way to look at it :)
Ponting knows the mentality of our players.. he keeps praising them, and they fly_high_in_air thinking they are really strong... and then :) - fail on the field
Looks like already the BCCI/Ponting have fixed the ODIs to be played from 25.10.09. Ponting is already giving indications and praising Indian players even before the start of ODIs. How sad is the state of affairs of cricket

nah , Ponting is playing mind games. He really doesn't need to though. We have terribad bowlers who will win matches for the opposition.
Indias batting is strong only on paper or else how they were shown the door in T-20 and champ trophy.Ricky ponting is playing a mind game and showering undeserving praise to the already proud Teamindia Batsmen

Absolutely right buddy! This behaviour is quite contrary to their earlier avatars of putting us down. Evidently, they've changed their sports psychologist :)
aussis r concentrating more in mind game. they must do practise instead. btw, there is no comment from indian team. its surprise? hopefully they would b preparing for the series.
