INCLUSION OF KUMBLE IS MORE OF EMOTIONAL THAN LOGICAL
by vaibhav kumar on Oct 20, 2009 06:51 PM  | Hide replies

I think the one reason why ESPN STAR team dominated by ex-Indian cricketers selected KUMBLE is emotional rather than practical and logical. Even that of KALLIS is ridiculous.

Some of the things which we always err in our social set up is to say the TRUTH though it is quite obvious but we will always go with POPULIST opinion. KUMBLE, KALLIS and DRAVID are needed to be RESTED (An INDIAN term to remove) from 20-20. They were good and are good but they do not belong to 20-20. They defy the CHARISHMA of 20-20. AND THAT COULD BE ONE OF THE REASON WHY IPL STANDARD IS BELOW THAN WHAT WE SEE FROM FOREIGN TEAMS (REMEMBER MOST OF THEM DO NOT HAVE OVERSEAS PLAYERS).

IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON. SELECTION OF KUMBLE AND KALLIS, SUGGEST THE HIPPOCRATIC MINDSET OF ESPNSTAR SELECTION TEAM.

moron, charisma and personality can be thrown out of hte gutter. Unlike other selection, this selection is based on points. Kumble and Kallis are there bcos they've scored runs and taken wickets and hence by the sheer merit of their performance, they are in the All Star XI.

Get your basics right before commenting on something. Its bcos of guys like you that the game of cricket is being driven more towards glamour than sheer grit and performance. Learn to appreciate good performances jackass.....

The selection is stage managed and does not reflect the true performance except a few. how errendous that these two greats have been left out.

See the greatness and humility of this gentle 'jumbo'. He has so much cricket still left in him, now also he looks so physically fit and plays his heart out for whichever team he is selected. Despite all this, he gracefully retired. Some of our other Indian players want to play forever for money and Ads and money.

People should learn from this gentleman called Kumble and should give more youngsters and upcoming talent a chance rather than stick to their places in indian team forever if they perform or do not perform.

Learn from jumbo please.

Even dravid/laxman doing much better than politician dhobi even in T-20.
These old players has proved again - Form is temporary but class is permannet.
These media & fan spoiled dhobi & his dear friends will not last long for more than few series as politics in sports can't survive for long.
