India is finished
by Johnymera Naam on Oct 18, 2009 10:26 PM

This kind of behavior by Indian police simply means that India is finished as a nation, and Indian people know this very well. So why not mint money by framing innocent people? But this backfired in this case...

No special treatment to JK crics.- behave like other Indian crics
by Talisman on Oct 18, 2009 09:42 PM

Not sure why these JK fellow expect any special treatment. If they chose to withdraw their team, it is their priorogative.

Religion is a personal thing and you cannot go around touting religion everywhere you go. Perhaps, these young idiots can talk to the many great cricketers from all religions that this country has produced.

Play your cricket on the ground and do your prayers at your own time. No need to mix both. Behave and act like Indians and stop expecting special treatment. Cry babies.

The security personal are there to ensure the safety of all and a single individual cannot claim immunity to a security check, claiming he has Geeta or Bible or Quran in his bag.

These guys have to grow up to the reality of the world and stop acting like immature babies. The press on its part continues to flame thsi by printing the immature words of these guys!

Doctor(?)

No wonder we cannot combat terrorism effectively. Till we have people like you who object to the security procedures so openly. :)

Dear Doctor Amin, your foolish observations indicate that you are in dire need of treatment at some mental health hospital. Anyone who knows him personally would do well to take him immediately and get him admitted for psychiatric treatment. Needless to say, sane people who may/may not be knowing about Hinduism would pardon him for his foolish observations and wish him speedy recovery.

Bangalore pilice use sniffer - Kashiri cricketer objects
by Ratnakar Mankad on Oct 18, 2009 07:47 PM  | Hide replies

Why the objection on a security procedure? How come the sniffer indicated presence of explosive traces? The owner of the bag testing positive for an explosive must not be released till the source of this explosive presence is explained, traced and captured.
This would be the standard procedure in another country. There is no personality issue or harassmenr matter.

Mr Mankad. U r Right!! Arrest Dr Farooq Abdullah ... he is the President of the JK Cricket Association, which had supplied the kit bags to players just before departure. Since nobody will dare touch Farooq, as he is more Indian than even Narendra Modi, you will have to arrest the owner of the company which has supplied the bags to JKCA ... as far as religion is concerned, do not drag it in. Naive on part of the player to get into an argument witht the police. He should have removed the Holy Book and allowed the DOGS to do their job. You cannot tell dogs to be sensitive towards religion. Can u?
@ Talisman: Keep some venom within urself because there will be none left when you really have to bite someone. I can name a hundred cricketers from All countries who express their faith on the field ... S Sreesanth, Amit Mishra, Harbhajan Singh, Mohammad Yousuf after he became a Muslim and even when he was Yousuf Yohanna (Christian)... Beliefs are there in everybody but one should keep it to the limits that it does not hurt feelings of others.
