RCB thrashed DD
by puTTa on Oct 18, 2009 11:25 PM

Nobody gave chance to RCB including the commentators but jumbo daaldiya bamboo taking 3 wickets at crucial time. When jumbo elected to field and Sehwag was fring, all of them ridiculed kumble's decision..but jumbo knew clearly that only Sehwag's wicket was important to restrict DD.DD always failed to deliver when it actually mattered. Even in IPL also where DD consistently failed in the big matches. It's unfortunate for DD that it's always one man show for them. RCB is the only Indian team in CLT20 which played like a team.Clinical performance from RCB and they deserved to qualify for semis but badluck Jumbo and badluck RCB.Better luck next time. Again Dravid showed the necessity to build the innings even in this 'hit-out-or-get-out' format of the game.People just wrote them off (Jumbo and wall) but Kumble and Dravid again proved why they are legends of cricket. The so called yongistan players need to learn a lot from these legends. Sad that not even a single indian team qualified for semis.

You open an article in rediff.
You start reading and soon enough, you notice some silly spello or a grammatical error.
You scroll down to the last 'Copyright' line.
Be assured, you will find the source will be PTI

If you are not conviced I reproduce a line from this article: "The Anil Kumble-led outfit, having been eliminated before they took the field following the Cape Cobras win over Victiria Bushrangers, ended their campaign on a positive notice."

Why is English journalism attempted if they cannot get a basic sentence, spelling, grammar or vocabulary right?

nice, i believe McCullum is badly out of form, you can might as well look to bring in Viru/Gautam.

McCullum hasnt played a good innings after this first match in IPL 2 years back.

u r right i forgot to mention the name of viru he should definetely be in the playing XI i replace him in place of taylor.

and the and the second thing is replacing mccullum but the problem is if i bring any other batsman in place of him then therebwill be a concern of wicketkeeping so it is better to keep him in the side.

STANDARD OF IPL TEAMS AND COMPETETION IS A QUESTIONMARK?
by Vaibhav Sihorkar on Oct 18, 2009 03:04 PM  | Hide replies

Viewing the performances of IPL teams, it is not difficult to gauze that they were no match to teams from Australia, SA and T&T.

1. Despite having LUXURY of 4 INTERNATIONAL players of repute to play, they could not even qualify. REMEMBER most of other teams hardly have any INTERNATIOANL overseas player in their team.

2. The skills of hitting BANG SLAM was seen completely missing from indian players. Even that seen with IPL teams is shown by OVERSEAS players. This create a question? where Indian players are good, in technique? they struggle and slma bang they do not know.

3. The standard of whole IPL_1 and IPL-2 itself is a question mark. If you just LEAVE a CRAZY and MINDLESS SUPPORT of Indian public, IPL and MODI are a bog joke on a small screen of CHAMPION's league.

Money Spolied Indian Teams and cricket spoiled all other games
by Shanth Sequeira on Oct 18, 2009 01:16 PM

No one is playing for the country now a days. All are highly paid irrespective whether they are playing or not. So win or loss does not matter for the team. And hell nomber of cricket tournaments spoiled all other games in india.

This whole league cricket has only helped firang nations improve their game and make money.... if the top 5 batsmen and top 5 bowlers are from India, then its a sense of pride... look at the stats...the firangs are enjoying big time.
