Ganguly has always supported Dravid but that cunning fox backstabbed ganguly. Now he is getting it back. Though dropping him is wrong he 100 % deserves this. Sachin was under some politics played by ganguly but the great master never played any dirty games. A true gentleman of the game

What is the proof that Dravid has back stabbed Ganguly? Suppose you come to know to tomorrow that it was not Dravid but some other player has back stabbed Ganguly.Do not always belive media reports they can be wrong too.

Also one more thing I would like to remind you, do you remember INDIA vs WI which happened in India just before WC, there in one of the matches Sachin scored a century and he was unable to take the field in 2nd innings, during the second session Dravid got hurt and he pointed to Ganguly to take over as captain, but after few overs you would have seen Sachin coming to the field and taking over as captain.If Dravid had something against Ganguly he wouldn't have asked him to take over as captain when he got hurt.

Ganguly is bad intentioned
by Raman Shiva on Oct 16, 2009 12:59 AM  | Hide replies

Why does he say stuff like this?he is forgotten hero.he was a great batsmen but wasnt all that as a captain as he was hyped,he really didnt win any overseas series,won a few test matches outside but other than the win in Pak which Dravid lead the the team in 2 tests he didnt do much at all outside india....he is known to make mischevious statements like this,a few months ago he said selectors had double standards when they kept Dravid and sachin in and made him retire,and now hes talking as if he cares for dravid.but also says

also says he thinks its a permanent drop cause they dont experiment in AUS series...Ganguly is barking constantly but no one so far really cared about his statements in team india....at times i feel sachin fans are right when they make fun of Rosagulla Ganguly...he may be a great batsmen once but he sure is a idiot when he opens his mouth....

exclusion of Dravid & Yusuf pathan is unfotunate
by bhaskar misra on Oct 16, 2009 12:39 AM

For the bad performance of Yusuf Pathan in SA he should not not be blamed alone. He should have been sent earlier in the batting order. When team wins or loses it is of course due to team work but captain's role also plays a vital role. Simple wrong decision of sending in batting order and not giving balls to the right bowler at the right time makes the difference in winning a match.That is why many still remember Mike Brearly, Clive Lyod and Allan Border as very good captains. Selectors perhaps failed to realise that in the present scenarion Dravid is the wall and Yusuf can do wonders thru his bat. Further, an Indian coach is definitely better than a foreign coach as the former's heart beats more for India and in India we do not lack talents.

Ganguly has yet again shown who the real gentleman is. time and again he has supported dravid throughout his career yet dravid did not hesitate to back stab him.

why has ganguly have to show the good relationship everytime? It was ganguly due to whom dravid remained in the team as WK. yet dravid did not miss the first chance to team up with chappel and ouster ganguly. traitor. and please don't talk rubish that dravid brought him back in 2007. you know very little about cricket I have to say my friend.

@guest,
why everybody said abt ganguly's exclusion when dravid was captain,why not said abt ganguly's exclusion when dhoni was captain?????

when dravid was captain,ganguly did not score much run in any form of cricket....though dropping was unjustice to him,still it was not unjustified as when dhoni dropped him....bcoz at that time he scored lots of runs...

and by the way its true that ganguly retain dravid as a wicketkeeper...thats only bcoz he is the greatest captain ever of India....he knew what dravid is capable of....dont forget dravid's contribution in ganguly's captainship,specially in test

Why Dravid is dropped
by Alphons Isac on Oct 15, 2009 11:20 PM  | Hide replies

When you play well, you deserve the place in team, Dravid played well, his average is good compared to others, then why selectors dropped him, Dravid is well experienced batsman and very consistant and he would suited the best against the Kangaroos attack. I feel selectors are experimenting a lot which is not good.

IAR Dubai.

This young team without sachin/dravid is a bunch of loosers & desrved first round exit from T-20 wcup as well as from ICC championship. When captain itself is a politician, what can u expect from that team.

@Ashish,
rightly said.....
because India is winning not for their gr8 team,they r winning more just bcoz australia had been deteriorating so much.....dhoni is lucky to be captained when except SA all other teams had been deteriorating....still dhoni di not win CT,its a shame

its bad luck for dravid and ganguly that they played their peak at an era when australia are unbeatable

Its not only that during the era of dravid, sachin and ganguly we started winning and were able to have youngsters like sehwag, yuvi, zaheer, and dhoni establish themselves, without extra burden. Which tendulkar, dravid and ganguly had to undertake because of inconsistency in the team.
