sachin ramesh is the main reason for india not qualifying for the semis. its better he get retirement from odi cricket also and play only test cricket with his old buddies.

How is Sachin the main reason ? Please feel free to provide intellectual argument ?
Oh wait, do you know the meaning of " intellect" ? Ask your mum to look it up for ya. what you need to do is to graduate to 5th grade to respond with anything resembling a valid argument.

I have to agree that Sachin was overcome with guilt and hence fainted in hotel. Against the Pakis he could only score single digit score when the target was 303 and become first to get out. When a top order doesnot fire its difficult to chase such a huge score. He has to bear moral responsibility along with Kohli and Dhoni. He is hence the main reason for the loss.

Restricting the Pakis to 302 was a good job by the bowlers. Infact in this tournament there are scores more than that many times. Chasing it was not a difficult task and it was the batting that was a flop and main reason starting from sachin.

Sachin's one digit score is the main reason for the loss? Good. That proves that he is the mainstay of the Indian batting. If he fires, we win. If he doesn't, we don't.
We should definitely continue with such good players. :)

yup its true ....if u r chasing 300 plus then 130 for 1 or max 2 is desirable ,,but sachin early loss ...cost the team ..as he dint performed very much in like this(300 plus) situation ...

Actually I can prove you wrong. Sachin's average while chasing 275 scores is 38, at a STRIKE RATE OF 92. Can you count the number of times say Dhoni/ Pathan/ Yuvraj/ Sehwag/Ghambir have scored while chasing 300 ?

Dhoni's avg is 50 plus for 275 chases. Sorry if this disappoints anyone...

"Many time people hope big things from Sachin Tendulkar but often it is only disappointment that we are left with. He is thought to be the backbone of the Indian team but many times he has not stood up to the occasion,"

OK, right here we go with the statistics. Batting in 2nd innings when India have one, Sachin has scored 14 centuries, over 5000 runs with an average of 56.43 along with 45 wickets. What do u have to say more, please look at the statistics and then comment. Take it easy guys, dont just pin point on any particular individual. As compared to Dhoni, he is the number 1 in ODI ranking, but can u check what type of innings he has played. He has scored 40 to 60 runs right, but with how many 4s & 6s as compared to his batting earlier when he brole on the international scene. If he fails 2 times then score 50 or 40 , naturally his average will be stable. Thats not a big deal if he he is the #1 with the type of batting he is doing. In recent times, did he ever take the match away from the opposition with the scruff the neck as he did before, the answer is a big NOOO... People dont see the reality, so pls for heaven sake check out the reality.

Kernash
If Sachin always fails while chasing a big target, then obviously our failure against Pakistan was not his failure. :) We lost becoz of other reasons, right?... :)

Sachin is a bolt on the team now. He always fails while chasing a big target against a powerful team. Dont just rub your damn a-5-5 in front of the computer.

People expect from the masters only not from any "Tom, Dick and Harry". Will you expect a match winning knock from Harbhajan, RP or Ishant ? Obviously not.

CORRECT, I NOTICED HE HAD MADE MOSTLY RUNS IN FIRST INNINGS>>> MEANS SACHU~S NOT VERY IMPRESSIVE IN SECOND INNINGS.

Most indians are just feeling bad about the team's early exit. They are looking to blame anything and everything.
Taht imbecciles target Sachin is laughable. He has won the team the last two major finals. There are morons like Ravi Shashtri that continue to claim youth is going to be the big saviour. The idiot needs to be reminded that the team is full of young idiots that just don't perform. Indian team looks like a club cricket team.
Only quality is, Sachin, Gambhir, Dravid, Yuvi. In the bowling, Nehra wants to perform and so is AMishra.
Harbachan with his millions from IPL is fat and unfit. He has trouble performing 'cause he is not fit.
Dhoni seems more interested in taking rest. If you watch his speech after the exit out of Champ. trophy. This tells you how much BCCI is milking our cricketers for IPL, making them unfit and exhausted to play for india.
Gambhir is a more appropriate captain, for the next world cup. Dhoni can play club cricket. Since he keeps loosing in the first round of world cups.
Rest of the gang is just pathetic club cricketers. Srikanth cannot keep picking up such pathetic team and expect them to win anything.
The rest of the team including dhoni should probably spend more time at ranji trophy and learn to play real cricket. Not IPL club cricket.

our main problem is "BOWLING".
Even the depleted west indian team bowlers are better than ours. Like i said before, you can make a batting team compromising of the best batsmen in the world, but even they would struggle to carry the pat_hetic bowlers that we have.

nobody is blaming sachin for india's exit from the champions trophy. sachin's critics will always be there (and i am one of them), but this time i can happily say he is not to blame!

Indian
That is the point. India is losing without him anyway. With him there is still chance of winning. Isn't that the reason of selecting a team? Tell me another. :)

Do you think your opinion counts? Who told you tendulkar is obseesed with anything. If you imagine some nosnse, do you think, he is reponsible for that!
Why don't you blamd dhoni for the defeat, for the way he scored nothing ? OR is it too hard for you?
Whenever cricketers visit any country for tournaments, there is mad rush from NRIs of nearby areas to invite them for dinner. Such occasions are used by them to enhance their social status. The dinner party goes on for hours. Since most of those invitations come through someone known to players/administrators it becomes difficult for the players to decline. I have attended one such party on the eve of a match.
I don't know if it will be correct to have some guidelines to restrict the outings of players during important tournaments. But that is one of the ways.
