This India is an idiot guy. Knows nothing about cricket. Even sehwag admits that sachin is god of cricket. No indian cricketer has won as many matches for India as sachin has done offcourse some time he failed also as he is near to GOD but not God. But this regional fanatic guy like India is real curse for India. U don't deserve to keep ur mail name as india.

It is good to see you depending so heavily on Sachin. I am sure he will perform and make India win the next world cup.
And BCCI should stop sending the other 15 m0r0ns (10 of whom show up on the playing ground) and send only Sachin so that we'll get the next World Cup.... :)

Sachin always fails in world cup........,Champions Trophy and big tournament...
Only after l10 long years he played for CB series win against Australia..... India won CT under Sourav in 2003...Sehwag played great role... India reahed CT final under Sourav in 2001..Sachin failed in final... Sachin failed in 17 finals out of 20 India reached since 2001.

you still haven't answered my question...name one tournament Sehwag has won by himself...i can quote many from Sachin...Sachin is the only cricketer from India to have won 2 tournament finals against No.1 team Australia outside Indian soil...but coming back to the topic, why don't u list the instances when sehwag, yuvraj etc or any of your so called heroes have helped India win tournaments.

Don't waste your energy talking to these less cricket knowledge person. Playing cricekt for 2 decades itself is great acheivement. all the players around the globe. Try to remember he opened the innings with manoj prabhakar, Ravi shastry, s Ramesh, A jadeja, W V Raman, S Sharath, and the list continues... Remember he is still there on the field. you even don't remmber these guys names. And this is enough to prove his greatness!!! So stop your balderdash , and out your real name while commenting!!!!

The one bowler whom I still hold in awe is Agarkar. Though he has not fulfilled the faith we cricket lovers bestowed on him, he is still a force to reckon with specially with his deadly reverse swing (I still bet that India has no better bowler than Agarkar who can use reverse swing so beautifully). It is not fluke that he has taken 290 one-day wickets. This ability to move the ball either ways is still dangerous and today he proved it. The delieveries he produced to dismiss Sehwag and Mukund were superb, specially the latter one. And then at the end he castled Tyagi with a beautiful inswinging yorker. His only weakness is his inconsistency. I still consider him to be better than Ishant and RP because of his ability to use the conditions. His major undoing has been his frail physique.
He did a fine job when he came back during Dravid's captaincy. But he failed in just 2 matches (he was still better than other bowlers then), he was given shoulder by Dhoni, who has this uncanny knack of throwing whoever is senior to him out of the team. I guess today that if he comes back, he can forge a deadly combination with his old pal Zaheer and Nehra, who is in a great mood now. Give rest to Ishant and RP and send them to domestic season. Bring in Zaheer, Agarkar and Sreesanth and test with them. I am quite sure that these can really make some difference to the present Indian bowling line up which is suffering due to the off-form of highly-hyped RP and Ishanth.

U are very correct MR gladson in ur analysis. Ishant/RP/praveen no where near to Agarkar but just get chance beacuse closed friend of dhoni. I have never seen such a biased captain in history of Indian cricket who will do anything to keep his captaincy intact by hook & krook. He just wants all his NI friends in his team & thats why player like Agarkar/sressant/Munaf/Balazi/rohit sharma etc are out & club level players like ishant/RP/raina/praveen etc always in team

Well said...Zaheer, Nehra and Agarkar should form the bowling trio again esp. considering India aim to win the next World Cup...enuf of fiddling around with juniors...hope Dhobi realizes this...or getting back old lame horses like Dravid...it is imperative to note that the only 2 tournament finals India has won in last 2 years has been due to one and only Sachin Tendulkar...hope selectors realize who are the good oneday prospects and irrespective of whether they are above or below 30, drafted into the team looking ahead for 2011 world cup.

Very correct Mr Forest. This nonsense age concept is just created by dhobi & hyped by media & some stupid regional fans.Players should be selected based only on form, fitness & experience & not on age. Players with young age- RP/Ishant/raina/Praveen/dhoni all burden to team.
this has been the attitude of media like you from time immemmorial towards sehwag. if he does something, you would try to play down as far as possible; if he doesn't do well (even in a najafgarh match!) it would take headlines. and with poster boys yuvi and dhoni this is vice versa. not even celebrated sachin couldn't match his presence when he is in and what he did in tests- so he doesn't need any favour from you as well.

Saying like that only most of the players are staying in the team and not performing. There are cricketers who score heavily in domestics and still dont get a chance because of this wrong attitude.

i think even international cricket players need to play in ranji, iraqi, duleeps chamipionships..... sehwag is getting left out due to some politicians problems with sachin, dhoni, and some more. in fact sachin should be made to play in irani, ranji matches and then get back into the squad for national level matches...

Agarkar is an enigma in Indian cricket. When he started palying for India I felt he will be another Kapil. He started very well and became the fastest Indain bowler to take 50 wickets.But somewhere down the line he missed the bus. He bowls 4 great deliveries and follows it with 2 worst possible balls. Who can forget his great deliveries to dismiss players like steve waugh, mark waugh, jayasurya etc. But still he has not done full justice to the enormous talent he got as a bowler.
As a batsman also he is hugely talented. A century at Lords in a test match can't be a fluke. Still overall he has done very little as a batsman. Agarkar's failure to emerge as a great allrounder is a tragedy of Indian Cricket.

Hardly we find Agarkar fans. I see few here. Most of the times I have found him unlucky also. At so many occasions I have seen edges flying through the slip area or over keepers head for boundaries that hurts his economy also. During Dravid's reign, I saw an improved Agarkar for a year (2006-2007) but he did not fit into Dhoni's scheme of things who had more faith in Ishant and RP rather than Agarkar or Irfan.

What can u expect from dhobi. Only criteria for his selection is that player should be his close friend. All his friends - ishant/RP/praveen/raina/bhajji etc can continue in team with many failures. he is real laloo of cricket. Just made by media & some regional fanatic idiot fans like Risha gupta.
