IPL is often blamed for India's performance, but if you observe closely every player who play in international level for a test playing nation (except Pakistanis and some Australians) play in IPL.
So if playing in IPL results in bad performance, it should be true for everyone, not ONLY Indians.
See the mentality of Captain, he is just blaming by hiding the facts that he didn't inspire his batsman & bowlers against pakistan. shameless fellow should resign for loosing against Pakistan when the Team is nailing No 1 Postion.

cricket is not prostition where one can force to indulge.then why shoul he announce retirment.

All the big name players of all national sides (except a Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and a few Australians) play in IPL.
tell ICC to arrange..One more tourney which only has 4 teams, bangladesh,Kenya,nepal,zimbabwe... boss u can only show ur performance against these teams..& not against teams like AUS/PAK/SA...(dont give 1-2 examples of good performances...) you r there when selection of this team..BOSS stop these advertise schedules..& concentrate on practice..

First thing is first,every team will hv an excuse when they loose,strangely in this case dhoni is running out of excuses. 1.Dhoni,please don't tell u would hv easily won the match aganist aus.They were strong at 234 & the stage was set for another 300. 2.Well,as the bowlers hv bowled really bad aganist pak & aus,they r criticised,what abt batting?the loopholes in batting would hv been found if we chased aganist aus,except gambhir & raina,what r the positives abt indian batting in this tournament,except nehra others hv forgotten basics of bowling. 3.Now comes the biggest concern-fielding.I don't know what was going in dhoni's mind when pak has taken over our bowlers in middle overs.Instead of looking for another wicket by intrducing bhajji,dhoni went for kohli/yusuf,the part-timers who allowed malik & yousuf to settle down,after that they obiviously don't care whether bhajji or his baap comes to bowl.They r settled by that time & started attacking on bowlers.What dhoni was doing when malik/yousuf were hitting tons of runs towards 3rd man & point. 4.Now IPL,this caused a loss to our international team,at the same time it has given the oppurtunity to prove their mettle,why can't we groom batsman like manish pandey & bowlers like jakati to international standards who shined in IPL. 5.Team selction should be based on performance but not on partiality.Ishant & RP r out of form for many days,why r u continuing them? 6.It's time to change now,if we don't realise, it costs even more
