Indian selector should take a lesson
by Uttam Ghosh on Oct 06, 2009 12:15 PM

Watson!!..an all-rounder!!
He has made 10 over bowl and after that gone for batting on no-1 and made a century....
It is the strategy of Australian cricket that they made all-rounder.
We have also a player, who can be a good batsman and a bowler too. But Indian selectors don't give him chance to bat freely on good position or don't show any confidence behind him....He could be a very good all-rounder and a match winner but they are trying to make him a bowler only...not an all-rounder. That is why India can't provide good all-rounder.
Hope some people can get about whom I am telling, yes, he is Irfan Pathan the brother of Yousuf, who is also playing as an all-rounder but Irfan is not getting chance, while he has a very good record and performance. As all players had a bad time, he had also, but he should get chance. I am not a big fan of Irfan but I can realize his playing and needs of India.
Hope they think about it.

Dhoni's days numbered?
by sudarshan chat on Oct 06, 2009 01:49 AM

I guess this is the story with almost every captain of the Indian team. In the first few months his team does excellently and he beats every previous captain's records: only to fall in line with the previous captain and get dumped. Look at Azhar, Ganguly or even Rahul Dravid.

Dhoni is the Best Captain
by siva kumar on Oct 05, 2009 05:31 PM

There is no problem with Dhonis captaincy, but Injuries are the main issue in this series and the Injury of Yuvraj will highly affect the captain and team confidence, this was well seen in Dhinis face he has loos the Toss, because he has not confident to chase without Sehwag and Yuvraj, Confident is the main reason, if all the top players return to the tem, zaheer, sehwag, yuvraj, dhoni will definitly get his midas touch back. so this is temporary, so please dont think to change captain, because is setp down as captain for delhi dare devils, because his game was affected.

Why overlook the real reasons?
by Ashish Kumar on Oct 04, 2009 10:32 PM

India lost T20 on account of sending a team rendered unfit by IPL. Dhoni himself was unfit. In the CT also I strongly suspect the bowlers were unfit. Ishant Sharma and R P Singh bowled short and wide. They are not novices. Most probably their injuries are not permitting them to bowl as they would like to. Bhajji could not have become out of form suddenly after bowlong so well in Sri Lanka. The lure for money and fear of losing their places to their competitors makes players to hide their injuries. Some answer has to be found for this problem. Finally, some one has to clarify what led to Dravid's selection despite Dhoni having rejected him and Ganguly in one go. DRAVID REPEATED WHAT HE HAD DONE IN THE FIFTH ODI AGAINST AUSTRALIA WHEN THEY HAD VISITED INDIA FOR THE LAST ODI SERIES. He did not score at the rate required and in stead kept bringing down the run rate leading to desperation amongst other batsmen who got out to desperate actions (run out, uncalled for shots etc). Dravid is singularly responsible for India's defeat against Pakistan. I hope he will not be there in the ensuing series to again bring down the team.

India Lost the Pace
by Lakshman Naidu on Oct 04, 2009 09:26 PM

It is not b'coz India lost the matches, I think India has to retain the same youngsters team which has won the T20 world cup, Sehwag, Sreesanth, R P Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yuvraj Singh, Yousuf Pathan & Virat Kohli has to be in the team and if any one of them is missed the pace is lost.

Loosers
by lifewasted on Oct 04, 2009 11:17 AM  | Hide replies

Indian Cricketers are a bunch of loosers who believe in the hype created by the media.....
Ishant Sharma was compared with McGrath...
Pathan was compared with Akram
and countless so called IPL super star players....They definitely look good next to Bollywood heroines or in commercials ....but when it comes to cricket, they just play for fun....no dedication, no professionalism, no discipline ....
