His performance is good only in sri lankan pitches, & mostly against weaker teams. Sri lanka play lots of matches against weaker teams. Sri lanka pitches are always spinner friendly.

For bowler particularly playing after they reach 37 plus yrs is always going to be difficult.... even mcgranth couldnt play even though he was at the top of the game.. for batsmen its not much problem

still...murali deserves respect for his effort even on dead pitches..and its mile away for his records to be broken
