Tough test for Srilankan batsman now. Do they have mental toughness like Indian players showed in first test? I don't think Srilanka can save this match. Pitch is slow and low and going to be more worst. Batting is not easy on this track.
Bal Thackeray always represent himself as a true marathi. but what he has done for the victims of the 26/11. In that attack, some of the top cops (hemant karkare & Vijay Salaska, both marathi) of mumbai police loose their life. Government has a made a promise to provide a petrol pump to the family members of both the deseased. The main fact is that wifes of hemant karkare & Vijay Salaskar havent got a petrol pump yet and they are still fighting for that. Mr. Bal thackeray, if u r ture marathi then u should fight along with the wifes of hemant karkare & Vijay Salaskar and help them in getting a petrol pump.

These three police officers did not fight with terrorists. They simply go to meet the terrorists to know about them. The police officers did not use their brain to tackle the terrorists.

Thats really rubbish and disastorous for "TEST CRICKET" and World cricket should react on this...BCCI providing flat pitches to cricketers and allowing them to just bat on and on...on such dead pitches where one batsmen can play for whole five days without any influence of bowlers because there is nothing for bowlers in all five days...and thats where we are finding indian batmens are making records on such flat pitches...but thats killing the real test of cricket and now world cricket should comment of this serious matter...
Gambhir plays attacking cricket without taking too much risks just like Mathew Hayden. But at the same time he is much better sportsperson as compare to hayden. Gambhir knows the value of playing for India. He easily adapts himself to any situation. he can play well under pressure and also knows how to attack the opposition in crisis situations.
He has made lot of efforts to secure his place in the team. In the intial phase of his international cricket career he was dropped for 3 to 4 times from the Indian team but he hasnt loose his heart and learnt lot from his mistakes. & Now he is the backbone of Indian batting lineup.
If he continues to play like this then within few years he will become one of the biggest bombshells in the history of world cricket and also he will get a place in the list of great & legend international cricketers.

The ball was hitting Sehwag's pads more than his bat and he once again survived a leg before appeal. Welegedara's incoming delivery struck him on the pads before hitting the bat similar to his dismissal in the first innings in the first Test but this the umpire ruled in favour of the batsman in the ninth over.

for u kind information, gambhir have scored 50 plus runs in a One Day International at WACA
I've said this b4 & I'll say this again, the indian cricket team can only score such gigantic scores bcoz of the pitch. The pitches have been specially designed by fanatic indians so that tendulkar and gang can go on and make world records. These centuries are really meaningless if fails to win the matches. Even in the last match Sri Lankan batsmen managed to play better than the indians and draw the game. So these huge scores prove nothing other than the fact that indian batsmen are lazy and have always relied on favourable pitches to make personal records but in the process lose as a team. This is pathetic and shameless cricket.

i think this is the same indian team(1 or 2 exception)who won the perth (the fastest pitch in the world) test in late 2007-08.
it's the same india team who defeated new zealand in thier own backyard on bouncy pitches.

do u read what u write ?. "Even in the last match Sri Lankan batsmen managed to play better than the indians and draw the game." So srilanka wanted to draw the match. Such an insight you have.

Despite India getting a huge total Sri Lankan batsmen managed to play better than their indian counterparts and actually made double of what india had managed. If I am not wrong India managed a world record first innnings total which sri lanka successfully managed to double in their innings. In fact inspite of india making a huge first innings total it was they that were left at the receiving end and in luckily managed a draw.

good toss to win and at tea india made full use of the morning session. Sehwag and Gambhir made mincemeat of the srilankan attack. This pitch as said was better than the one in Ahmedabad according to reports but it seems to be a batsmans paradise. Ever since the first day of india srilankan series the bowlers have suffered with the pitch offering no help.
