A record is made of a very hard work with hard patience, you were reachng to make it by 7runs. You could not reach it by impatient bating.It was the best day,time and all other cituations were ready to get a record, but it is because of your impatience made despare to all of cour country.

you don't know your cricket kid, the most runs scored in a single day is 588 in manchester, in fact no Indian ground features in the top 20 list of top runs scored in a Single day in a test match

As the Title Says " India posts Record Total", there should be merit system place to reward the Curators. They ensure the players achieve as many records possible. Already there are takers for the sponsorship for the BCCI, and with this type of Curators Indian will only hold records, not success in the game.

we are heading towards boring draw. indian board digging grave of test cricket by making such flat pitches. Even mendis can hit a century here.good match for creation of personal records (sachin score a ton here &consider yourself as agreat batsman)

The impact of personna on the fortunes of the country in the game... Greatest cricketer would be one who understands the finer nuances of the game, a key strategist ,a ability to understand talent and nurture them...a ability to get performance even from the mediocre players or to say atleast show a fighting performance.. The Batsman who can change gears at will, to fit and play as per the needs ...the one who might even go to the extent of boring the audience but achieve the mission of the team. Afterall be its 30's or 100's --in the end all counts is Win. Again a leader can inspire performance even from non-talented players ...so though a team game ..still one man by his vision...by his strategy , by his leadership can bring glory to nation . Sachin - the most humblest, down to earth person in the world would always be a goodbatsman ,a loyal person for the team But never the conqueror , never the king .who changes the face of indian cricket or Indian cricket records. He would be like one of those Jewels in Akbar court or the Tanaji Malsure of Shivaji Maharaj but not the Emperor .
Hence we love the man but not enough to consider him the Greatest cricketer who has played for India. Bottom line -Its victory that counts , not 100% victories but atleast more than 60%...and even if the team loses ,in most of the cases it should be case of going down fighting and not tame surrender....the Personna of one man can make this difference .Alas Sach wasnt the King.

In a team game involving multiple skills (like batting, bowling, fielding, wicket keeping) an individual, however great, can not win by himself or influence everybody else. Where are the bowlers who can take 20 wickets in a Test match? If statistics show Indian batsmen have performed well compared to other batsmen around the world, but team has not got the results, it is foolish to think that it is because the batsmen lack the ability to win or they play for records. No need to show percentage win and try to prove something illogical. If we give the same Indian bowlers and fielders to Aus and SA and ask them to produce the results, they will fail even more miserably. It is time people realized the need for genuine bowlers. The Indian bowling unit is worse than even Bangladesh, so how can we hope to win except outscoring in underprepared pitches which can break down in 3 days.

wow. but the problem is his critics already no this and still criticise him. Basically, they are jealous of his achievements and success. They themselves may have never scored even 10 runs in a gulli cricket match, but want him to play in every inning

Even in 1991-92 tour of Aus (B&H World Cup & B&H World Series) he was India's leading scorer. In World Cup alone, he was second to only Azhar in run aggregate, scored three fifties and won two MoM awards.

to be precise 523 runs with an average of nearly 90 in 96 worldcup.....couple of times he was runout in that tournament otherwise it could have been over 100

i could remember my words in that match we were in gud state with sachin on pitch with 150 runs to get and 9 wickets remaining,, "pitch started to show its colour once it saw sachins back"

1) When ever tendulkar scores a ton india losses ? FACT:india has won 32 matches out of 45 when tendulkar has scored a ton which is a whopping 71%
2) oh is it ? but this useless player should have scored all his 32 match winning centuries against weaker teams like bangla/kenya/zim? FACT: His tons have helped india win 9 times against australia.list is as follows - australia--9, new zealand --5, srilanks -5, kenya -4, zimbabwe-4, west indies-3, south africa-2, pakistan-1 & namibia
3) All most all of his match winning centuries were scored batting first this choker cant score a run while chasing under pressure ? Fact: Tendulkar has scored 17 tons while chasing a huge score & india has won 15 times ( unbelievable 88 %).some of his most popular innings while chasing , the one against aus in WB series downunder & the one in sharjah , the innings against pakistan in wc,
4) May be this was long time back ,BUt in recent times whenever he has scored a ton we have lost ? FACT:India has won last 4 matches out of 5 when he has scored a century ( 80%)
Tendulkar has won 60 MOM's out of which in india has won 54 times (90%), & 8 times he got MOM award in the finals ( Hold ur breath 100 % success rate , all were won ) . All other so called indian greats combined have played close to 1000
