It is not woth even discussing. I fuly agree media should avoid publishing such anti national statements.Sooner the SC or EC puts a clamp on elements growing on religious/regionalistic basis the better for the country. It is about time we prioritise naturing nationalistic rather than regional or lingustic feelings.
Our media plays politics all the time. If all media join together and boycott SS & MNS, the frequency of such statements would come down automatically, but they are opportunists. Why unite, since its IBN office attacked not Times or Headlines today etc etc. Meanwhile milk this controversy and increase your own TRPs and give overcoverage to a party thats not even won the last 3 elections.

Think positively, he will become a MP and then a minister. He can then become the BCCI president just like Pawar.

I dont understand what bafoon like Thackeray's think of themself. They should know if they want non marathis to leave mumbai then maharashtra will be deprived of every rupee and business and it will be a poor starving state. It is all big bullies not so called marathi manoos who bring money to mumbai. Its really pity that he does not understand that so many marathis are outside that state and does not even think while attacking north indians and any other indians about the retaliation that can take place. He only think of his position to prolong thieir carreer. Long Live India and India should be relieved of these thackerays.........

Exactly dudeman....he is clever that's why he forget about marathi's and told that mumbai is for all indians... I have on question Who is tendulkar to decide that Mumbai is for all Indins? Can you tell that if I stay in your house for some time & you will tell that this house for all? no.... He is good player ...he should be in his limit...... Jai maharastra...!

WoW! What a reply Santosh! Mumbai is not anybody's home so comparing it with somebody’s home is utterly nonsense! Mumbai is an important part of India and anybody can live in any part of this country! There are no rules or regulation that this state or city is prohibited for this religion, cast or community. What Sachin said was completely right. Sachin said this that’s why he is setting a foundation for his expected political career, but I think everybody who is patriotic will say the same. Thakre says the same when he ends a latter with “Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra”. What does this mean? You are free to work anywhere in India; free to live any part of this country; what does this mean, Mr. Santosh?

neighbouring countries will enjoy these internal fights, we are fighting and reducing ourself without their effort, well done, let's draw more boudaries and split our nation in smaller coutries so that any country can take over and rule..
What was a simple statement from Sachin that Mumbai is fall Indians, and I see nothing wrong with that, Bal Thackeray brought in Gavaskar for doing much for the Maharashtra cricketers, and was just able to name two. He forgot that Gavaskar own son had no place in Mumbai and had to find a berth in Kolkata. That being said, what difference did it make to average cricket player whether in Mumbai or elsewhere. Looks like Bal Thackeray woke up too late from his slumber, and that too on the 20th aniversary of the master blaster. BT utterance makes no dent on the Master's armor and it makes the old look like a cheap politician who had nothing but to stir up an unnecessary controversy.

Sometimes tornadoes do take shape from the storms in the cups. Hope it does happen this time and the Marathi people throw all the Thackerys into the Arabian sea.
Sanjay's comment has not degraded Sachin's image but have degraded Gavaskar's image certainly by making him placing state over country. As a gavaskar fan i strongly condemn this and these statements aren't taken seriously by any sensible maharashtrian or any other indian..So suck everyones balls sanjay!

Moron Raman.....I was also Gavaskar fan...but rhe day I know this news....no respect for Gavaskar... Gavaskar without fear fixed matches which can be seen from the way he played during his days...moreover to support this he was caught red handed with unaccountable foreign currency which he had hidden in his locker at Bombay Gymkhana...he got away due to his political connections and poor Azharuddin was made the scape goat..(am not saying that Azhar was innocent)
Re: Sanjay a D**khead!
by kush chatterjee on Nov 23, 2009 07:57 AM
Even I think so. Gavaskar may have played lots of politics during his cricketing days, but don't think he favoured regionalism to have a weaker India team when he was the captain.

To add to kush, i will say tha kambli never focussed on cricket and lost himself in bottle and dance shows. one should respect vengsarkar & co who played and took indian cricket to new hight. They deserved and earned their place in Indian side and not that respected Mr.Gavaskar favoured them.

You are fed up of watching TV because you dont understand the meaning of pursuit of excellence. Watch and learn for a change, he is teaching Indians not to be satisfied with whatever little is possible and rather go for greatness.

M one fan of Sachin and believe me I dnt give a damn about Shena leaders, coz I agree with Sachin's statement tht Mumbai belongs to India.
Abt Azhar's match fixing case... you need three to four players to fix a game (sachin standing on another end and wickets falling on opposite side)
Ball Tampering - please refresh your memory by checking replays again n again...
About Tax, nation should exempt him coz he has represented it all these years... :P
M glad Nayan Mongia wasnt backed coz Mongia being marathi would have brought more controversies...
