Test match was always boring 5 long days toku,toku... & since losing importance ODI was introduced & grand success & world at fast pace again & ODI became boring hence T20 & popular.Better close Test matches & make ODI as Test match 25 overs each innings...cheers

100% agreed.. test match is a boring 5 days match... but its boring only to spectators.. for players its a true test to their patients.. Imagine the limitations on the bowler is very very low and hence it becomes an equal game between bowlers and batsmen. .... cheers..

single most disruptive force
by sunil ramaswamy on Nov 20, 2009 01:53 PM  | Hide replies

this guy has been the single most disruptive force indian cricket ever faced, which finally led to the downfall of saurav.... it is now being known that he also had a problem with sachin...
these oz brothers greg, ian and trevor were involved in the most shameful incident, the underarm ball....
why is such a pathetic guy being invited to speak at a ceremony.... there are enough oz greats other than these wretched fellows

Not really! You will think so if you follow the biased media.

Downfall of Saurav started much earlier. It was a section of media that made it Greg v Saurav etc initially to gain popularity of their programs. It was because of the interpretation of Greg's statement by Saurav or media that made people like Sehwag and Harbhajan become cowards. I can give two examples of biased media reports:
1) Greg Chappel said I am paid to do my job, they are paid to do their job. Our media tried to project this as if he was saying our politicians are corrupt.

2) When he said performance was important criteria not age or experience, he was only referring to Saurav playing with the likes of Yuvaraj waiting outside. But the media created such an interpretation that he wanted the seniors to go.

Just imagine, will someone like Greg, who is 100% professional in his approach from the day he started cricket, not want India to do well when he was the coach and paid more than a crore as annual salary? Ask Dravid or Laxman or Kumble if there was a better coach with whom they played in terms of their contribution.

India still depends on individuals to win games and nobody should turn against influential cricketers. Even if Bob Woolmer was the coach he would have got the same treatment from BCCI.
