Hadn't Dravid and Dhoni scored centuries in the first innings, India would have lost the match and the match would have been over before 5 days.Dhoni not appreciating Dravid's effort show what kind of captain he is, also media is always biased, they forget the efforts of other players.

You are 100% correct In fact, the Man of the Match should have been one and only Dravid, who never lost his composure, when we were 4 wickets down and also made his runs, very fast, Also, he ensured that we would make 400 in the first innings, to give our bowlers, a chance, which did not happen, is a different matter

Dhoni is just an average player....he has limited abilities as a batsman , doesent have great technic as a batsman against quality pace attack...an average wicketkeeper..just above rahul dravid interms of keeping wicket...still learning about captainship....not a great captain as said by sachin...surely not in that league..still a long way to go...Dravid doesent require dhoni's praise, infact dhoni is still in learning process, we all know abt dravid's capabilities and performances...dravid never really believed in getting media attention...infact all karnataka great players are not media savvy....unlike Mr.Ganguly who is a media darling...great players believe in performance at the middle not infrnt of media camera...to hell with media which doesnot play cricket, media doesnot creat champions like dravid , tendulkar and kumble, it can just report....Dhini should learn frm these greats

Hi sunil Better stop with the statement that Dravid is great, yes he is great, considering the circumstances, he has scored his runs, burt just do not say that all Karnataka players are media shy, Rahul is great, just stop there, Among all Karnataka players, Mr Gundappa is the greatest, all poise and style! You guys shower praises on Steve Waugh for batting for 6 sessions to save the team from test defeat. However, when it comes to Tendulkar or other Indians, all of a sudden it becomes useless.

great caption DOOD .if they r going to make pitches like these its better to put bowling machines because these itches kill bowlers...then batsmen can score double hundreds triple hundreds and quadruples and talk about those...
No doubt Rahul and Gautham also played big roles in fetching the result what it ought to be from India's point of view(after SriLanka scored 760) but they will not be appreciated for their efforts as media is always behind master blaster.Again, its not sachin's mistake if media covers only him always.But Gavaskar and Ravi shastri were making sure that Tendulkar would be in lime light through out. Today it was not at all difficult to bat. Srilankan bowlers had to sweat to get Amit Mishra's wicket.Gambhir could have played till the end but erratic shot from him got his wicket for SL.Lakshman was more fluent with his attacking strokes.There was nothing in the pitch. I'm a big fan of fab-4 of indian team but hate media/commentators for appreciating sachin always

Yes u r correct Gavaskar may be the Greatest but when it comes to appreciating good efforts from other players, he is as biased as ever, showering praises only on Sachin, Had Rahul not scored those runs, in the first innings, we would hv lost by miles!!! Long Live Unsung Heroes
Selectors should ask the sehwag to play with more maturity and responsibility otherwise he should be kicked out of the team. Sehwag have made the largest contribution in all the matches won by India in between the period 2008-early 2009. The main thing in all those matches was sehwag's approach towards building his innings. He looked to be more responsible in all those innings. Currently, sehwag is throwing his bat on each and every ball no matter whether its a test, ODI or T20. his on-field concentration has diminished a lot in the last 12 months.
2day, all of us are talking about sachin's inning but one cannt ignore the knock played by Gambhir. Gambhir was the one who didnt allow lankan bowlers to put pressure on Indian batsmen (specially amit mishra).
Throughout his inning, gambhir caused sangakkara to change his tactics & plans consistently. gambhir has put sangakkara to bite his nails. A great player is one who attacks directly on the mind of opposition captain. So 2day i rate gambhir's inning as the better one as compare to sachin's inning

India has to find the bowlers who can take 20 wickets in tests.The form of ishant is woring factor.Also harbachan is not able to fulfil the cap of kumble in tests.

more than that we need to find batsmen who can apply themselves and not throw away wickets. if sri lanka could score 760, even we could have scored that, we lost in the first hour of match on day 1 and then again on second day.
