Agarkar was a bowler for India , but he used to bat for the other team. His bowling average used to be atleast 7 runs an over.
One day in Australia his some of his bowling hit some stones on the pitch and deviated and he got 6 wickets. In 200 matches thats all he has done of note.
Sir Agarkar - also knowan as the Bombay Duck for 9 consequitive ducks that has still to be broken.

go and check your records first! Agarkar's eco rate is 5.07 per over! It's 5 consecutive ducks and it has happened to many other in which there a pure batsman in the list! he has done much more you have described here in ODI's! Once he was the quickest bowler to get 50 wickets (2nd over all now). He is the quickest bowler to tak 250 wickets for india until now. Go and check your records you'll find him a better even far better fielder and a handy down order batsman compare to RP, Ishant, Sree, Munaf, Parveen and Nehra.
I strongly take exception to some avid cricket lovers making fun of Ajit Agarkar. Dont forget that his 6 wickets helped India win a test in Australia after two decades. How many Indian bowlers have done that? He was also one of the quickest to pick 50 wickets in ODI's. Yes agreed his batting was not upto the mark. But he is primarily a bowler and not a batsman. Cricket followers unfortunately had huge expectations of him as a all rounder which he was and is not. Whatever runs he scored were a bonus.

that's why he has taken 291 wickets in just 182 matches? Right Vinay, check and tell us how many has taken more wickets than him in 182 matches?
