Sachin's wicket......
by full on on Nov 17, 2009 10:14 AM  | Hide replies

I have always been a fan of Sachin. But all these years if we see his records of dismissals, his wicket has been taken by a bowler who is new to international cricket or the bowler is playing for the first time against India. Also many time Sachin has got out to fast in coming deliveries(incutters, inswingers).

Hello Full On,
Sometimes, i think so too. But this is cricket and only one balls is needed to get a batsman out. So it's just a game of hit or miss for a batsman. There is nothing that he's getting out by a fresher or old. If one is playing for his country on international level, surely he has got the guts to get a batsman out!

Where are the leg spinners gone???
by cricketlover on Nov 16, 2009 11:47 PM  | Hide replies

In the birth place of spin, where is a genuine leg spinner???.. where is the leg spinner who can spin from outside the leg stump to hit the first stump??? Where is Lakshman ShivaRamaKrishnan and Hirwani??? Believe me we need people like them but not like their truncated careers.

BCCI is asleeep at the wheel. There are no talent scouting, no real improvements to the game. These fellows are busy going from one corporate even tot another like they invented the game of cricket.

Sachin weakness is the similar ball at any time ?
by km vb on Nov 16, 2009 09:04 PM  | Hide replies

schin's weakness is to bowl at slightly offside the off stick that moves away or that comes in.Sachin always moves his front leg up to middle stump and look to bat for a single to midwicket,so if one bowls at slightly off stick either moves away or comes in,sachin's wicket either to slip or LBW or bowled out.

Anticipation of the next ball is his greatest strength. He knows how the bowler is going to bowl the next one so sometime he makes mistake, no big deal.

Any bowler can practice this to get Sachin's wicket.

KM VB:

Too bad that you weren't around to advise "any bowler" in Hyderabad. :)

Or to advise "any bowlers" when they got hammered for a total of approximately 30000 runs, while being belted for about 87 centuries. :)

Thakre on Sachin
by on on Nov 16, 2009 08:13 PM  | Hide replies

"Cricketers may talk big things about the country, but ultimately play only for themselves. Do cricketers ever bother about the problems confronting the country, the inflation, slums proliferation in Mumbai, the influx of people from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Bangladeshi Muslims?" Thackeray said.

We have "able" politicians to think about those issues. A cricketer's job is to go play cricket.

May be in your world. The rest of us believe cricketers represent India. If you are having a crisis to decide that you belong to india or not, ask yourself and thackery to surrender indian passport and get out!
