Gavaskar was one of the best batsman of the 70s and early 80s, he had the best record against windies, the top team in the world in that time. How many matches did he win against windies? Similarly, even sachin has the best record against the aussies, lot of hundreds.how many matches did he win us against them, especially in the recent past ?its always been a dhoni or a yuvraj would have won us againast them

dhoni and yuvraj were the finishers, which is why you remember those names.

What a joke. When did Dhoni and Yuvaraj win a game for you?
In the last twenty twenty world cup, where both punks made sure india exited in the first round or in th champions trophy where they laid EGGS.
Give me a break. The last three one-day finals (in Srilanka, in Australia) that india faced and won were because of Sachin and he scored 90 including a century.
IF you could give some real data then perhaps people can believe that these useless characters can play for the country!

Fantastic point.
Dhoni's 124* and Yuvraj's 237* was simply amazing in the recent ODI series against Australia.
Yuvraj again blazed with his bat in Australia with consecutive double centuries in ODIs (the only player to ever do it) to win us the CB series. He repeated it again in New Zealand with a masterful 183 where for some reason he unfortunately got out, maybe due to an umpiring mistake. :)
So definitely it is Team Dhoni and Yuvraj who have always won against Australia. :)

Dravid has always been and will be the saviour till he continues to play cricket. I also feel that he has been a saviour even in one-day cricket too so many times. I feel sorry for Sourav Ganguly for being thrown out of the one-day team which forced him to retire from the game itself. I wouldn't want Dravid to face the same song. He is always "the best Team man" both in one-day and Test matches.

dont feel sorry for ganguly....infact he never deserved his place later in his career in indian team...not a team player like dravid..played safely to secure his own place rather than for team needs...not able to accelerate the score when needed...not a quality player against quality pace attack...never run quick singles for other players...total lack of commitment in fitness level and fielding level caused him to be left out of the team....due to boards politics he stayed in the team more than he deserved...not in the same league of sachin, dravid, kumble and even laxman ...these are facts not politics

relax, we need them both. its the idiotic media that portrays them differently, also the MNCs who need a hero to sell their wares. people like kumble have been forgotten by the wayside. each one has their mileage with popularity. dravid's a fantastic player and VERY understated.

As Sachin comes prior to Dravid in batting order ...if he plays well India will be in good position ...but If he fails on that particular day...everything falls on next batsmen...I do agree that Dravid handles pressure very well but... no need to blame Sachin here...he proved himself...both are great players and Our Team India needs them

for your information sachin never comes prior to dravid. dravid is no.3 while sachin no.4. By the time sachin comes, dravid would have alredy steadied the innings

Both are great players and India is blessed to have them. Both have an average above 50 which is healthy and a hallmark of a great player. Both are very modest and focussed on the game. It has been unfortunate that whenever Sachin has played an outstanding Knock the other team members have not been up to the mark. 20 yrs as a sportsperson is no small feat its REMARKABLE. I dont understand why some people accuse sachin of playing for himself, i mean he is definately not playing for money cuz he is way toooooooooo rich. Secondly he has most of the batting records on his name so again he is not playing just for the records. Look at the commitment given for 20 yrs. SUNIL GAVASKAR once told him its going to be difficult meeting public(fanatic) expectation as they are gonna expext a century everytime you walk in to bat. AND HE played for 20 years now can u beat that.

OT:
Dravid is indeed a great Test player.
But I am curious as to how that means Sir Don Bradman was playing for personal records, or that Dhoni is a poor batsman or that Sehwag is only good to increase his own score or that Sachin goes back to the Pavilion to increase his personal records. :)
guys..once again Dravid has justified his selection. Years by now, still coming at no.3, amongst d best in d world..Dravid is indeed d wall of indian team. Except for few bad phases, he has always been a consistent performer for d team. 32/4, u come in n smast 177. Great!. The man of Crisis...Mr. Dravid..i m a big fanka of him..
