In batting ur talent is limited, i.e., u r no where near Kapil Dev, who never pretended as a finisher and always played his natural game. U dont have Kapil's talent as a batsman, may be ur average is better. He played with the long hand and u r natural bottom handed player. T20 WC win is nothing great. Even this Paksitan team cud have made it 2 in a row had not Misbah played a Sachin like shot (Hydeabad ODIs) when india won in SA. In actual test, i.e., test match cricket everyone knows how u bat, except for that one innings in pakistan. And ur keeping, there are at least 10 better keepers than u India at the moment. So man pull up ur socks and win the 2011 wc. We dont know whether u can really be a good captain. U have been riding the luck factor courtesy players in Indian team who were there before u even represented east zone or jharkhand. - sachin, dravid, kumble, ganguly, sehwag, gambhir, yuvraj, bhajji, zaheer, nehra.

as a batsman, dhoni is performing very high since his arrival in cricket. When India toured Sri Lanka for the test series last year all Indian batsman (great batsmen) failed to play murali and specially mendis. After the completion of test series loss, no one has thought that India wil beat lanka in the ODI series (specially with absence of sehwag, zaheer and sachin). At that time Dhoni came and played well against mendis & murali. he was the only one who seems to be confident against those 2Ms. he also give courage to other Indian young ODI batsmen and encourage them to attack them. he came at number 4 or 5 position, negotiate both the spinners easily and did nt allow them to pressurize Indian batsmen. Although he has nt won many ODI matches single-handedly but he always contributes in the victories as a batsman. he is the most reliable batsman in India right now. he is capable of changing gears very easily and he has already prove that. he can dominate the opposition bowlers by taking risks and lofting the balls but for the sake of team he has transferred himself into a floater. Look men, it is nt very easy to change your batting style after playing 3 years of International Cricket. Cud any1 ask sehwag to play 200 odd deliveries without taking too much risks.
1 more thing, becoming number 1 and keeping the tag of number 1 batsman for a longer period is nt an easy task.
