from where does hussey comes in this list?? he still needs to prove him in test matches...and where is kapil and kumble??
-- because there wasn't any deserved to come into Top 10-20. Sorry, but Tendulkar was never a match winner but great batsman. Never single handedly won a Match but many times took the match to winning position but got out. For me the great player is someone who won atleast 10 matches single handedly for its country and Injamam ul haq, Brian Lara, Great Mc Grath, Shane wanrne come into that category. Sorry but Tendular isn't a great player but great batsman.

Myth 1 : When ever tendulkar scores a ton india losses ? FACT:india has won 32 matches out of 45 when tendulkar has scored a ton which is a whopping 71%
Myth: 2)oh is it ? but this useless player should have scored all his 32 match winning centuries against weaker teams like bangla/kenya/zim? FACT: His tons have helped india win 9 times against australia.list is as follows - australia--9, new zealand --5, srilanks -5, kenya -4, zimbabwe-4, west indies-3, south africa-2, pakistan-1 & namibia -1
Myth 3) : All most all of his match winning centuries were scored batting first this choker cant score a run while chasing under pressure ?
Fact: Tendulkar has scored 17 tons while chasing a huge score & india has won 15 times ( unbelievable 88 %).some of his most popular innings while chasing , the one against aus in WB series downunder & the one in sharjah , the innings against pakistan in wc,
MYTH 4)May be this was long time back ,BUt in recent times whenever he has scored a ton we have lost ? FACT:India has won last 4 matches out of 5 when he has scored a century ( 80%)
Myth5) All his Man of the match awards are useless ? we have lost those matches like we did against aus recently !
FACT: Tendulkar has won 60 MOM's out of which in india has won 54 times (90%), & 8 times he got MOM award in the finals ( Hold ur breath 100 % success rate , all were won ) . All other so called indian greats combined have played close to 1000 matches & n havent won so many matches
nobody remembers his onslaught of abdul qadir and his score of 54 of 18 balls in the one day match.. which was changed as an exhibition match.. and which would have been sachins ODI debut.. 4 sixes of one qadir over.. marvellous shots....

Get Your stats right, before posting it in public, buddy.
It was drawn test match. In fact, the entire 4 test match series was drawn.
But, it was a moral victory for us, for the reason, playing in Pakistan and playing agains, Imran, Wasim Akram, Waqar Yunis and Abdul Quadir....
I even remember an incident where Imran Khan went too much and giving a public statement that "WE ONLY NEED 8 HOURS TO BUNDLE OUT INDIA" and the next day Srikkanth didn't declare the 1st innings and let our guys play for 2 and half days.
Imran Khan had to eat his own words...
Then they were forced to play the remaining 2 and half days...
In the end, the 1st innings was not finished... and the match was drawn...
Critics were writing off Srikkanth for not declaring, so that we could have gone for the result...
But, he had guts... he forced Imran... to stay on the field... for the half of the time... where he said... he need only 8 hours...
However, the problem for Srikkanth was... even though his captaincy was brave and excellent, he didn't score much in that series...

I remember one match when I was kid and this match I will not forget because it was the day I started hating Srikkanth. Srikkanth as we all know was the batting power house that time, just like current Shewag. And there was this match (one day) and we needed 3 runs in 2 balls Srikkanth and Tendulkar were on crease, Tendulkar did what he could and it was all went to Srikkanth to end the game with style....I was almost sure (just like in movies when Hero come and kill all villians) Tendular was not that popular those days...but this guy wasted those 2 balls I was shocked and could not believe my eyes. Since I was kid this match is still in my mind only those two last balls....I don't remember exactly who were opponent but it had put such an impression in my mind when I see Shrikkanth I remember that match...I know he was older that time, but with age comes experience and you are supposed to finish the game as even bowler hits six in the end....but anyway if someone can help me tell which match I am talking about I will be greatful...

It was not 3 in 2 balls, 16 needed in 6 balls and oponent was pakistan. Wasim Akram was the last bowler and yes srikanth wasted 3 balls and sachin did get only 3 balls and we lost. But that was not an International match, was just friendly match. But it was remembered for tendulkar hitting some 26 runs in single over from Quadir and scored 50 off 18 balls

Yes, it was the one day international which was converted to an exhibition 20-over match in whcih Sachin hit an 18-ball 54, and 28 runs in an over of Quadir.
Srikkanth was in the lowest form possible with the senior players getting into a row with the board, and he was the only senior player left to take the pressure.
