Tendulkar - a Master
by Sastry Prakash on Nov 14, 2009 10:59 AM  | Hide replies

Tendulkar is surely a master. But, we all miss the Tendulkar of his earlier days, when he used to dominate the bowling. Nowadays, he scores runs but the opposition are not on their knees. That makes a lot of difference to the team. also, he has never been a match winner. The no. of centuries or the big fifties he has scored in the secons innings are far too lesse as compared the first innings scores. Normally, a test match is won many a times on the 2nd innings.

have you ever tried working on a single assignment for 20 days. he did that for 20 years. have you ever faced 10 people at a time. he faced 1 billion people every time he went to bat. have you ever tried representing your country. he did it for 2 decades. have you ever championed a team. he did it with atleast 50 of his contemporaries. did you ever lead 2 people other than your children and wife. he lead teh country in cricket. did you ever face ruthlessness. he faced if from every ball bowled. did you ever win something for another person. he won in a ton times for the country. do you know what are your ups and downs? he knows them to the last minute. did you ever face a ball? if you did atleast one of these you would just not speak. you would be awed! what you know is just statistics printed by media to talk about something that you donot know completely! Grow up to see a giant. did you know what Matt Hayden had to say about Sachin he said: "I know GOD he plays at No. 4 for India".

I dont agree with you where you said Sachin is a Match winner i dont think so.... You also have to look just the Last game where he completed his 1700.00 runs if he would have stands there for 2 more overs we would have won the match
There are so many matches that Tendulkar scores but not enough to take india home

question 1 )Critics ask:
When ever selfish tendulkar scores a ton india losses ?
FACT:india has won 32 matches out of 45 when tendulkar has scored a ton which is a whopping 71%

Q 2)oh is it ? but this useless player should have scored all his 32 match winning centuries against weaker teams like bangla/kenya/zim?
FACT: His tons have helped india win 9 times against australia.list is as follows -
australia--9, new zealand --5, srilanks -5, kenya -4, zimbabwe-4, west indies-3, south africa-2, pakistan-1 & namibia -1

Q 3) : All most all of his match winning centuries were scored batting first this choker cant score a run while chasing under pressure ?

Fact: Tendulkar has scored 17 tons while chasing a huge score & india has won 15 times ( unbelievable 88 %).some of his most popular innings while chasing , the one against aus in WB series downunder & the one in sharjah , the innings against pakistan in wc,

Q 4)May be this was long time back ,BUt in recent times whenever he has scored a ton we have lost ?
FACT:India has won last 4 matches out of 5 when he has scored a century ( 80%)

5 ) UNFAIR CRITICISM:
All his Man of the match awards are useless , we end up losing like we did against aus recently ?

FACT: Tendulkar has won 60 MOM's out of which in india has won 54 times (90%), & 8 times he got MOM award in the finals ( Hold ur breath 100 % success rate , all were won ) . APart from this he has be named man of the series 16 times
Thanks to Sunil who gather

Well you may not agree with Wadekar, but that's all right. :)

If our tail had held on through the final over, you'd be singing a different tune. :)

I wish
by Ashish Kumar on Nov 13, 2009 06:38 PM  | Hide replies

I wish Sachin had a similar urge for taking India to the winning posts also and not quitting after crossing his personal milestne. We have the example of Dhoni of steering India two wins on the two occasion he batted well. If only Sachin too had done the same, the recent series would have been 3 - 3.

atleast take pride in writing the right thing and criticising correctly. whoever has been taking pride in criticising sachin everytime he fails, doesn't know what is cricket, what are mistakes, and that anyone can make mistake.

my dear friend, which personal milestone you are referring to? 7runs to 17000 or a century or a 150? he got out at 175 when he was already 168 runs of the so-called milestone. and at 175 i guess you get tired after playing for 47 overs. i don't recollect dhoni ever playing for 47 overs and still going strong and remaining not-out and winning the match for us after scoring 150 runs. yes the shot was wrong but maybe he misread it. he cud have guided it over the keeper, but he hit it thats why he got caught. and just for your kind information, dhoni got out cheaply in that match. he cud have waited and batted till the end na? kisne roka tha?

Ashish Kumar:

If according to you Dhoni is a match winner, perhaps he should have ensured that the series was leveled at 3-3? :)

BTW, Sachin crossed his personal milestone 168 runs back. :)

Curious what made him go on for more than 150 runs? :)

You go right on singing your "personal milestone" song as if Sachin took those runs home. :)
