botham is a hypocrite and a loser
by Mehul Patel on Nov 12, 2009 09:32 AM  | Hide replies

botham is just a hypocrite...although there is no denying his good deeds which are not cricket related, he is just saying this coz england is a pathetic team in T20. if he thinks T20 is pathetic, what was he doing in carribean when england went to play standford T20? back at that time, they were gaga abt it being the biggest match in the history in terms of money..he was licking Stanford's big "S" with his mate vivian richards. and the whole world knows what happened to stanford and his money..i think he should coach england and make them move up the rankings in the tests coz they'll never win a t20 tournament.

i wonder if they start test match world championships, he'd come out and bark for it to stop coz england wont win it..he should stop worrying abt the game and should focus on his health and walking coz he still needs to raise quite a lot of money to live up to his knighthood expectations.

Is Tendulkar relevant?
by Smart Guru on Nov 12, 2009 08:21 AM  | Hide replies

How is Tendulkar relevant to this article? You dumb0 indians have no sense of self-worth which is why you need to hero-worship. So at least in part you can lead some one else's life.

Get your own lives!

Sir Ian Botham
by Babu Pandith on Nov 12, 2009 05:18 AM  | Hide replies

Good to hear someone with guts and gumption. T20 is a bottomless pit of avarice. Botham has shown his magnanimity with heart and mind and bat and ball, we should note his warning and prevent the great game of Cricket go down the Gaderene slope of extinction !...(please look up the dictionary and learn to write properly before complaining against an assiduous amanuensis like yours truly !)

Well said, Babu Pandith and you have revealed the fairer side of a game which has fallen among thugs. We need to heed the wisdom of Sir Ian Botham who has energised this game as no other living cricketer. Sorry, we are a nation of psychophants and we don't have the chutzpah to ask our older cricketers to retire gracefully. Look how Brian Lara, Steve Waugh and Adam Gilchrist retired to make way for younger cricketers although they can both hit a ton or two even today...so, Sachin dada please comply !

by kiran on Nov 11, 2009 08:32 PM

Now will they reduce playing T20? No way.. it can go only one way and it is shown even in tour games. now from 1 T20 to 2 T20's!

ppl are for for it, stadiums will be full anywhere you go for T20!good or bad, you have to accept the truth!

by lizaryan Christopher on Nov 11, 2009 08:08 PM  | Hide replies

sir botham is a great lover of world cricket, and he been and still very much in the cricket, he is the one who donated his earnings for the cancer stricken kids and poor, he even went on to commit and complete a pedestrian rally all thru europe, which clealry indicates he is a good huuman and not a greedy soul. more over than all these, he is been decorated with the knighthood and may be u all knowing the criterian for awarding the nighthood, he always have and had wealth around him, as monetary, immovable and as in the shape of millions of good human being, so please think twice prior posting the comment, atleast we have to be justifying the facts

he is a great human being but he is just a lover of ENGLISH cricket and not world cricket..its bcoz they cant win in T20 he is opposing it...english ppl give more importance to themselves and their county cricket than world cricket.

Had England been winning and in great form in T20, I dont think he would have told that.
He may not be wrong but who doesn't want to make money.
