I agree with you Animesh. Apart from scoring 175 of 347 runs, he should have scored the remaining 19 runs. He should have also bowled and taken wickets. he also should keep wickets and give rest to dhoni. without doing all these by himself, there is no point in selecting him in the team.

We can atleast expect him to stay & finish the game when only 18 runs are required. IN a run-a-ball situation we do not expect him (the legendary batsman) to get out in such a shot. Openers are not finishers, nut in situations like this it is expected the already set batsman should finish the game. Sachin is great. But you should not be a blind fan of Sachin.

MIGHTY SACHIN
by sachin tendulkar on Nov 07, 2009 04:34 PM

You get batsmen who are exceptional when they’re 16. You get batsmen with adamantium wrists. You get batsmen who choose their shots well.
You get cricketers who are fit and dedicated to their sport. You get cricketers who can cope with the downs and who come back stronger. You get cricketers who can last for 20 years.

YOU NEVER GET ALL OF THIS..LIKE SACHIN

whats the point of these statistics ? This is not even 10% of matches played in 20 years so whats the big deal. Can he beat Lara's highest individual score ? Lara had done it twice not once. Yes ST is a good batsman and leave it at that-no need to dance in the roads about it dumbo.

India's loss of 5th ODI versus Australia

India lost the match because Sachin played a false shot at a crucial juncture. He should have finished the match having batted all through the innings.

CONGRATZ DEAR !!!
by unknown on Nov 06, 2009 10:03 AM  | Hide replies

First of all "All Kudos !!!" for completing 17,000 runs in ODIs....(Know, it wasn't the main objective and nor was important then winning India).

This inning of Sachin was a gem to watch freshen the memories of his once Sharjah knocks against the same Aussies...the first made India enterance in final and the second made Indian won the tournament. Sachin was on top when he really got into the things.....And perhaps it was a chance for the people who missed not only that inning but also why he is known as MASTER BLASTER.

One thing would like to say.....no one can really go too long (long cricket career) until he has really the desire & hunger to go (would not want to argue on indian cricket politics)....an Ant can make it to go up on wall despite falling nd falling again because it really thrives for that....what should I say more?

Sachin is and will be the best player ever to set foot on a cricket field FOR ME... I care a da mn if the team he plays for wins or loses.. I follow the game to watch him dazzle... its a BCCI team anyway and I don't hav any respect for the cotorie of a* *h*l*s ....
@ the guys comparing Sachin to dhone and others .. There will never be another Sachin Tendulkar .. there can be many dhonis, Yuvrajs, rainas but no SACHIN..
I wudn't mind watchin a Baseball/Golfer batting than Dhoni... its the same thing neway..there is no class..
And to all those pse udo -nat ionalists who wud say Sachin never cared for the nation but for his records... fc uk ya all.. we are the most corrupt nation in the world with a third world infrastructure.. one of the most filty one as well..with la alu, mul ayam kinda leaders rulin the roost ..farmers committing suicide everyday.. 20-30% odd families under poverty line..such gr8 foreign relations tht all neighbouring countries has reason to pick a bone with us with us and blah blah blah ..... and u fc ukin id iots takes out ur nationalistic frustrations on a game of cricket... do smethin urself for the nation then diss Sachin who brings pleasure to a lot more people around the world thn u s*ines cud ever think of...

thts all...i already feel better...
now u can reply with abu ses coz u can't counter it in a rational way..but it doesn't matter coz "i don't give a da mn, I dont give a fc uk".... ciao

Really sad that some of our cricket pundits are still cursing the great Sachin for yesterday's loss. Wake up guys...this has always been the case. One thing guys...if you need to chase 350, one player cant win it alone... remember all the great chases..it has always beeen a team efford. now face the truth..this has always been the case. Now imagine this chase as if Aus is chasing.. and ponting scored 175 of 141.. will aus loose?? I bet no way they are going to loose. because they have 11 players playing. But in here, we had two or three players and rest were only included bcoz you need 11 players to play an international match!!! Hats off to sachin for making a match out of no where.
