We must not forget that this a second class Australian team without their stars like Macgrath, Gilchrist, Symonds, Lee and we are even struglling with this second class australia team.

Siddle is going home. Hopefully Nannes will replace him.
No Siddle, Lee, Bracken, Hopes, Haddin (or Paine), Clarke or Ferguson. Johnson is injured and shouldn't be playing. Ponting and Hussey aside the Australian team is Australia A
Sachin not even wasted the quick start given by Sehwag but also got out cheaply after taking too many bowls to set his eye.
By seeing Sachin batting is last 4 matches I can say he is totally out of form. He should come after powerplay when India chase.
I was surprised to see when Virat came to bat and took singles very easily while on the other hand Sachin who was playing for 6-7 overs was struggling to rotate strike.

Still he needs 7 runs to achieve that milestone. Probaly he will reach it in the 7th ODI in Mumbai.
In India cricket is all about hero worshipping.. there is no true love for the game.. pull the indian stars out of the game and u will have empty stadiums just like what happpened in champions league.. people are more worried about sachin's record than being a number 1 team.

Send them for a stint in the Armed Forces, especially the Millitary. This will blow the stupid egos in their pumpkin heads to smithereens & impart TOTAL DISCIPLINE which Indian Cricket (& inadvertently Indian Sports) lacks completely.
Media has become absoultely irresponsible, and I think this one pillar of democracy is not doing its job correctly. Media is not talking about Sachin's 68 Balls and 40 Runs, but it is talking about Sachin could not acheive 17k milestone, wrong decision etc. etc.
India cudnt have won this match as its important for cricket administrators to keep the spectator interest alive in the seriess... also there will be a lot of pressure on them by the sponsors after the dull deal "champions league"

UR Mr. Great is a billionaire.. He is gettin paid like anythin for makin runs... on the other hand... look at the soldier standin at the border protecting the border puttin his life in danger. what is he getting??? STOP HERO WORSHIPPING
I think this defeat is just because of Sachin Tendulkar. Media is just talking about how he got out (which is a part of the game) and not talking about 68 balls and 40 runs. Look at Australia Team for last fifteen years. Their players have not achieved personal individual goals but their team is winning the world cup contnuously.

STOP TALKING ABOUT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE MAKING MONEY WHICH HAS COME FROM THE BLOOD OF POOR PEOPLE WHO TILL DATE DONT HAVE BASIC REQUIREMENTS OF FOOD, PLACE TO STAY,PROPER ATTIRE. STOP TALKING ABOUT ALL THESE SELFISH PLAYERS WHOSE GOAL IS MONEY MAKING AFTER RECORDS.

Well, in Australia, you may not get free rail passes or air passes after you retire, or for that matter govt jobs for kids. Hence there is not much of a motiviation for personal records ...

Neo Sports flashed the 'Little Master???' just short of 17000 runs so many times that I think Tendulkar was only concerned about the record and forgot that he was an indian player playing for the Team.

me too...i pray that he wont get those 7 runs till the end of the series...pray for an injury to the grandfather asap..may be that help the indian team win this series

Pseudos...i am an indian first & would want to see the indians squareup the series at all costs...but you see the problem is tendulkar comes in the powerplay & slows down the rythm which inturn effects the bottom line of the brigade...tendlya is not as attacking & half as exciting as he was a decade back. dont you think he gracefully retire now & not loose the fanbase in disgrace????
This loss shows importance of player like Rahul Dravid.Look at the way so called youngs like raina and kohli batted. Also look at the way yuvraj got out.he even cant dive to save india.where as player like hussey who dives at the age of 34 to save their team.shame on our selectors.i think the team is playing as 20 over match instead of 50 overs.sehwag njoys hitting 30's only.dhoni does not have technique to play legside balls.so series will go to aussies sure.watch out.

by Deepak on Nov 03, 2009 11:08 AM
Diving is out of the question, especially after a gruelling night before the game ... the area may still have been sore. Only Bhajji and Dhobi would know.

I am amazed why u guys keep asking for dravid to be taken back. Rememember this is not a test match, but ODI. Dravid is useful in test matches where he can take his own time scoring runs. In an ODI when the score is over 250, one needs to score quickly and keep the momentum going. Merely occupying the crease does not help at all. Buddy, Dhoni was responsible for india winning the last two matches against the aussies, but u say he he has no technique? Funny!
Re: Re: Re: why india lost
by ramakrishnan s on Nov 03, 2009 11:55 AM
Buddy as i said, merely by occupying the crease and playing out the 50 overs, we would not have won the match. Dravid would played so slowly that the asking rate would have gone well over 7 and we would have lost comfortably.
It was a gem to see mohali ODI and it was more pleasing to see the side winning. Which has ever taken their national game (cricket) seriously, which is thorough professional and have hunger to win.
It was the first time when I saw Ponting in despair (when first Sachin & Sehwag and later Dhoni & Yuvraj carrying India towards win), he knew that he has not the key players (M. Clark, Haddin, Nathan) to win the match but still he kept motivating his players...... once I was surprised that where is that killing factor of aussies that makes them winning a game which is lost for others...... And that killing factor they found with the wicket of Yuvi and then Dhoni.
Though I am an Indian and ever want to see Indian side winning but don't know last day my heart was completely with Aussie, I wanted them to win....... Perhaps it was because of their cricketing spirit which they saw in Delhi ODI.......how Ponting came to open, then Hussy coming on 3rd down.....They (Ponting, Hussy) knew that other players except them won't be able to play on this turf (Delhi) so they took the responsibility but since they were some 20-30 runs short in that match and Dhoni & Yuvi shown some good cricket, India won. Here at Mohali they were again short os some 30-40 runs but they did the trick which has made them world's top team.
Even after an Indian & Indian team fan, I am happy that Aussies won.. People can say whatever they want but for me it was the win of true professionals & their cricketing spiri

yes I totally agree with you. They are world champions not by default but by their excellent professionalism.
