First of all kudos to aus,2-3 players getting injured is not an issue but 7 out of 11 players of regular ODI team hv been injured,it's very frustrating 4 them but even then they r focussed.Once again this raises doubts of whether the matches r fixed, there is one phenomena here, every injured player of aus is not sitting out for 1 or 2 matches but completely ruling out of series

Mitchell Johnson is next.
by Manu Zach on Nov 03, 2009 07:40 PM  | Hide replies

By the look of the things, it is obvious that the Aussies doesn't want to work their fast bowlers excessively on the non-responsive Indian wickets. And also they are trying to give their World Cup probables a look into the Indian conditions well ahead of the big event.

Its all pre planned by ACB and BCCI well in advance ..:) Bollinger will get injured for the final match it looks like .. not mitchel as he is dishing out dollies to the indian batsmen

Two reasons
by LG on Nov 03, 2009 05:49 PM  | Hide replies

for Ausssi players flying back home.

1. BCCI & ICCI have fixed the series for monitory gain, or

2. Aussi are trying to test their players in India, who might be part of coming WC in subcontinent. Because, nobody cares about ICC ranking anymore.

Also, the way Johnson is bowling here in this series, it appears he got his ICC awards from BCCI instead of ICC.

Also BCCI want to improve dhoni avg in ODI.
Otherwise how can they justify him as a captain.
They also know he can score only against 2nd rated bowling attack & that also on lifeles Indian wicket. His 90% run scored like this only.

Its a joint operation by ACB and BCCI ..it was well evident in the first match itself when Bhajji n Pravin took the match close;thanks to slow full tosses dished out by watson ;also Lee was said to be injured ...but he fielded in the deep for 50 overs with a 'sore elbow' :D

I think sometimes india's bowling is becoming good & sometime batting is good. But at a same time both is not becoming good. They have to become better condition from both side.

It is fixed and was evident in the first match itself.Looks like Siddle and Lee refused to be cannon fodders for indian batsmen ..so they were sent back 'injured' where as mitchell who injured his ankle is still playing

Nice strategy
by Prashant Rathod on Nov 03, 2009 05:02 PM  | Hide replies

This seems to be a very well defined strategy by Aussies to make the series interesting...or may be the rich and powerful BBCI is threatening Cricket Aussie, that is why after every match won by Aussies they have their player sent back to make it easier for India, i think cricket Aussie shud start hiriung player from Indian domestic cricket only coz against them only our Indian Super Stars perform and win

But still india stooping even further ..just wonder if we want to play with Australia A and believe that it is the only chance to win against them
