G.Manaou and A.Voges are openers. I don't know why they came down the order. Both are agressive and best suited players for powerplay. Aus needs S.Watson experience in lower middle order. I don't know whu M.Johnson came before G.Manaou in last match. Ponting has started to commit mistakes as he did during test series against India.

Aussies have not taken this series tooooo seriously! While India is gungho about win after win aussies are busy sending players back home one after the other!

Yes, they r considering this series as a learning process for their inexperienced players on subcontinent pitches...still aussies are the competitive team, it's more of a learning series for them, and they are playing in that manner for the next world cup to be held in india..ponting is more happy to see his players come good on this type of pitches and play more crucial role successfully than winning the series...It's quite evdent from their game plan...they are experimenting a lot with both batting and bowling with their resrved players..as a result it's not going to be a tough competitive series..
If Gambir & Shewag is not palying in the eleven, better Praveen Kumar or Harbajan Singh to open the innings along with sachin tendulkar.. Praveen was the opening batsman for UP as well..so that being a pitch that favoring pace bowling, team india can include munaf patel and virat kohli in spite of gambir n shewag..
rememebr, today team indai is playing at mohali, which favors pace bolwers..look at aussies, they hav, johnson, siddle, boulinger, henriques, watson as wel...at mohali, it will be the game for pacemen...
shane watson is average through out the series in opening the innings..but still they giving him chance to open the innings, that whatever he gives , it will bea good start...like wise, being an allrounder, praveen kumar should also given a chance to open the innings...

ithink his average is around 5 so far. he has been a failure as far as batting is concerned so far

The idea is too rediculous...tailenders should not be considered as openers...someone who can take up the challenge can only do this job which is demanding..india dont have Rahul Dravid to do this kind of challenging role...it's left to Dinesh kaarthik now...shane watson is a prooven performer at the big match level while opening the innigs for aussies...he is not a tailender....even he opened the batting in test matches also quite regularly...

they are giving him more experience..sitting out.. after wards they will sack him...just like abhshek nayar, rohit sharma, uttappa and irfan..
