Sachin Tendulkar
by Arpit Amin on Nov 04, 2009 11:11 PM  | Hide replies

Why people blame Tendulkar only???? Its such a shame when the team is failing collectively and only Tendulkar is getting blamed??? Anyways, Sachin is still a great batsmen that he was in the past. Nothing can deny the fact that he is still Sachin Tendulkar.

Still how much experiment by DHONI & BCCI
by Anil kumar on Nov 03, 2009 10:24 PM  | Hide replies

Still How many players to experiment-
BCCI & DHONI have experimented with youngsters’ like-
1) Rohit Sharma
2) Dhinesh Karthik
3) Robin Uthappa
4) Ravindra Jadeja
5) Abhishekh Nayar
6) Virat Kohli
7) Yusuf Pathan
8) Parthiv Patel
9) Subramaniam Badrinath.....more to come….
Why don’t they bring back Rahul Dravid who played well in Sri Lanka & South Africa?
He score 49, 39, 76 with average of 33.0 runs, even after returning after 2 yrs, whose career average is 39.00.
India got all out for 226 in the Mohali’s match against Australia, still there were 4 overs left. If there was someone like Dravid the story would have been different.
Ravindra Jadeja & Virat Kohli have failed with bat, still how many more chance they want to give to the youngsters, world cup is very close. There was a concern that youngsters cannot play to short balls. They must utilize the existing people. They can experiment with youngsters after world. Now the future of the world cup 2011 lies in the hands of BCCI and Dhoni to decide performance or principles.

Buddy, in an ODI it is not merely how many u score, rather, how quickly u are able to get ur runs and whether u are able to keep up with the asking rate. Dravid is a test batsman and is useful only when the oposition scores around 225 and not more. Dravid might have scored runs in the last match if selected, but would have consumed a lot of deliveries and the asking rate would have gone beyond the reach of other batsmen. We can definitely try manish pandev who has scored 194 is the ranji match yesterday.

True, I agree to that point .. so how about Dhoni ? he is trying to stick and if get keep on going he may be fire in end of his innigs and get a better strike rate… but if he fails in 20/30 we may be well behind as he is poor than what Dravid did early.

Yes, i appreciate ur point. but dhoni can at least accelerate at the end as he showed in the 2nd and the 3rd ODI, but Dravid can't even do that. Dravid is a grt player, no doubt about that, but better off in tests, than ODI's at present.

BOWLERS NEED TO TAKE WICKETS NOT JUST RESTRICT
by damodaran mohan on Nov 03, 2009 07:03 PM  | Hide replies

....inspite of batting collapse at Mohali, it must be said that the India is a good batting side with many match winners. One or two bad decisions, unlucky run outs etc. can make any good batting side crumble. So, Indian batting has the potential to bounce back in the coming matches. However the same thing cannot be said of the bowling. Even at Mohali, although the bowling was good but the credit for restricting aussies to 250 to great extent should go to 4 run outs and good fielding. It only indicates bowling is still not up to the mark because without those run outs the aussies might have got 270 or more. What is needed is at least one or two out of the "specialist bowlers" take 3-4 wickets in every match. That is not happening with this Indian side which is greatly dependent on ‘part timers’.Given this bowling strength,India winning the series are only 50-50 even against this depleted aussie side.

dude ..Aussies have just 3 batsmen - Ponting,Hussey and Marsh ..the rest are bits and pieces like Watto,White etc ..and still we struggle to restrict them. And bowling ..most of the matches their frontline bowlers didnt complete their quota ..still we struggle and blame the umpires for the failure..also we tend to close our eyes to the decisions that we get in our favour .. India will win the series 4-3 as it has been preplanned :D

the real reason!

why is Dhoni not giving the actual reason: the burden of grandpa is getting heavier with each passing day and it is becoming hard for the team to carry him along.

You are right. Sachin has to go. If he retires then the youngsters like Raina, Kohli, Jadeja can get a chance. Gambir was left out because there was no place. Sachin should think that he cannot continue long and he should step down keeping Indian cricket in mind. No doubt Sachin deserves a GRAND SEND OFF.

Though you didn't notice it (and no one can blame you for it, coz they are pretty unnoticeable anyways) Raina, Kohli and Jadeja are playing in this series... :)

Surprise, surprise.. :)

Gambhir is injured and hence sitting out. Why blame Sachin for his injury? :)

Why some people call Sachin G_O_D
by LG on Nov 03, 2009 09:41 AM  | Hide replies

Some people have wrong concept about G_O_D. G_O_D do not save anyone from disaster, it is man who save himself G_O_D only shows a man the way to do. Ever heard of KARMA.

G_O_D resides in everything and evryone. People who think that only going to Temple_s or doing Chalisa is HinDU Dharma, do not know it well.

In a sense, any human being (the best life form for a soul to get liberated) who achieves perfection through desire-less KARMA (Doing his duty without selfish desire) merges with G_O_D (out of cycle of BIRTHSss and deathsss).

So, when people say Sachin is GOD, they only mean that he has served the country through desire less KARMA through his profession. And that is truth.

I can say now
by LG on Nov 03, 2009 09:39 AM  | Hide replies

without any doubt that most of the posters who abuse Sachin are
Either Pakies living in UK/US/other parts of the world (total failure in their lives because successful men/women do not abuse other successful men/women)

or a few Indian-Moosssleem living in India or UK/US/other parts of the world (total failure in their lives because successful men/women do not abuse other successful men/women)

As you can expect from them, they come here to create regionalism between us Indians (living in India or outside India. They are not friends of India or do not even care to rational in their arguments. They come out here with their hearts full of hatred towards us Indians.

They have no specific inputs—they neither back their claim (Sachin should retire or He plays for records) with data and valid points nor give names and credentials of his replacements.

Note that

Successful men/women do not always mean rich men/women. Because you can be rich by wrong means or sometimes by luck (bonus for past good KARMAs for souls who could reach the highest level to get liberate in past lives--so use your luck for more goods instead of squandering it like all of your bank deposits on eating or entertainments).

if you do no know the truth
by LG on Nov 03, 2009 09:38 AM

It all depend how much one knows is truth and capability of one's own way of thinking.

If you do not know the truth, you may suspect your spouse of cheating, when he/she comes home late.

I do not think he plays for records. He changed his game--from being explosive to being anchor--, probably for two reasons, 1. team needs him in that role and 2. His body, due to elbow and back injuries, does not allow him to be as explosive as he was in 1990.

But that is fine with me, as he is still the best in our team (check his runs/average/strike rate for last two years).

If you are or were his true fan, just look into things in correct perspective.

Should Sachin bats down the order
by LG on Nov 03, 2009 09:34 AM  | Hide replies

I do not agree with you when people say Sachin should come down the order; because batsmen like UV, Doobhi, Raina or even Sehwag and Ganbhir can not play when bowling is good.
Yesterday, Sehwag could hit wayward Johnson ( hit by even tail), but got out the moment he faced better bowler like Bollinger. he was lucky that Sachin did not allow him to face Siddle much.
