No sensible batting performance
by natarajan natarajan on May 22, 2009 02:25 AM

Warne made a mistake by dropping their batsmans without sensing the condition at SA. interestingly most of their matches were low scoring and they were not able to chase it with their attacking batting line up.

They should have brought back M Kaif to steady middle order, kind of line up RCB had with Kallis, Dravid, and Taylor.

You were a disappointment, Warne

It's unfair to say Yusuf was a 'little' inconsistent. He was the one who took RR this far. Jadeja is the culprit who ran out Yusuf and Henderson. And what about yourself, Warne..can't pick a single wicket in the match that mattered most. With no Watson and Smith not firing, RR was not big contender.

Yeah, Yusuf was run out in the last match, but what about the other matches. Playing well in 2 out of 14 matches is not consistency. I think Yusuf should be rested from Indian team also, we have better talent in Jadeja Rohit Sharma, Shukla and so many others. Warne's contribution as captain was best amongst all teams. No other team has snatched a victory in last over - done twice by RRs, once in the first match against KKR and then against MIs.

So what? Shilpa owns RR and she would be happy if her team won. Just because she is an actor does not mean she has to always cheer for MI... grow up.

True, grow up. Not everyone in the world has o support Mumbai. However, I feel that Shipa should have given hugs like Preity to encourage players. It would have helped. May be next IPL.

say correct Shane
by dranil on May 21, 2009 12:31 PM

In fact he should have said that the beuty of Shamita has resulted into the pathetic performance of the team and its leader. When the skipper is awake nights after nights how can he plan the strategies for the next day's play? it is now clear that millions paid to these cricketeers is meant for something else and not for playing good cricket (exception? guess and win a free air trip for 2020 IPL at nonsense island for three nights and four evenings). Here everyone behaves as if they all are cine artiste and have gathered on the ground for a shoot. In reality instead of batting, Shamita let down the team. But why worry? Shane and his boy's have their bank accounts flowing with money, anyway!
