Sidhu & Azhar won Election
by Josh Chadda on May 19, 2009 01:45 AM  | Hide replies

Guys what do you think about this? Our public is weird at times. Why elect somebody who is just famous and just because you have heard of them, you vote for them.

It is mind boggling to see Azhar and Sidhu being elected. How can they be politicians who can change things? What do they know about politics?

Yuvrajis hatrick!
by Srinivasan Iyer on May 18, 2009 06:26 PM  | Hide replies

The second wicket in the hatrick was because of a gross error by the third umpire. The replay clearly showed that Sangakkara had tipped one bail while juggling with the ball and when he did his acrobatic stumping on the second attempt he should have uprooted the stump as the bail had already been dislodged!! If Symonds had continued to bat, the result probably could have been different!!

a keeper has to uproot the stumps in second effort only if both the bails are on ground. if you see the visual carefully one bail was still on stump. Thus the decision of third umpire is correct and cannot be questioned. If the other bail had also fallen on ground then it would have been necessary for the keeper to uproot the stumps.

Good Choice. But I would prefer to use Laxmipathy Balaji with the Ongoing form. Zaheer seems to go a bit off track these days so can use balaji or may be Harbhajan.

wishful thinking! the blore boys have a tough game tomorrow. It's always better for an indian to be captain because an Indian will know his domestic players better.what about the foreign coaches for all the franchise?? they should be made assistant coaches to indian coaches!!

Match fixing IPL
by sweet orange on May 18, 2009 03:37 PM  | Hide replies

Its clear that a few matched in IPL were fixed. Teams losing from winning positions, teams winning from losing positions, good bowlers bowling badly, non-regular bowlers taking hatricks repeatedly, teams losing by one run, two runs etc etc. In cricket such things happen but not as frequently as they have happened in this IPL. Match after match you cannot have a close contest. Something is definitely fishy. So guys watch d IPL for fun but dont get sentimental like many people from mumbai got during mumbai-rajasthan match which I suspect was fixed.

dear , this is 20-20 cricket not 50 overs cricket . so naturally u will have more close matches. Also the wickets in SA at this time of year is helpful for the bowlers also so a score of 140-150 is always going to be competitive.

bad balls did the 'trick'
by dranil on May 18, 2009 03:04 PM  | Hide replies

Yuvraj no reason for you think that you are a great baller. In fact sometimes even bad balls earn a wicket or two. with you same thing has happened. Wait until the next match when you will know how best are you as a baller.. Your sheer luck that you are winning and you should know that the winning in cricket is not because winner played well but because the opposition played bad on that day.

So, according to you winners win matches not because they played well but because the opponent played badly!! Think about your own distorted logic!!!!
