RR deserve to loose semis spot
by Venkat Pathi on May 18, 2009 09:28 PM  | Hide replies

They sent back Kaif , throughout the trophy their bowling was the best but their batting was never consistent always awful. Smith, Pathan, Jadeja rarely fires and insconistent . Not sure why Warne doesn't want him,Kaif should have been handy player.

They deserve to loose the semis spot for sending back Kaif !!!

Match Fixing IPL
by sweet orange on May 18, 2009 06:00 PM  | Hide replies

Its clear that a few matched in IPL were fixed. Teams losing from winning positions, teams winning from losing positions, good bowlers bowling badly, non-regular bowlers taking hatricks repeatedly, teams losing by one run, two runs etc etc. In cricket such things happen but not as frequently as they have happened in this IPL. Match after match you cannot have a close contest. Something is definitely fishy. So guys watch d IPL for fun but dont get sentimental like many people from mumbai got during mumbai-rajasthan match which I suspect was fixed.

Do you think it is easy to fix a match?? I mean, how can Mumbai fix a match with such an impossible script that would have put to shame a potboiler......

Much the same way, you can say that KKR losing to Deccan was also fixed cos no international bowler worth his weight would go for 25 runs in the final over and concede a match that they should have sealed.....

How RR can qualify!!
by Bhasmasur Rakshas on May 18, 2009 04:53 PM  | Hide replies

Tomorrow, Delhi will baet Bangalore so even if Bangalore beat the Deccan team, they would end up with 14 points.........
In the above case, Deccan end up with 16 pointts and qualify........

RR should beat KKR quite comfrotably and end up with 15 points....
And CSK have never lost to the kings 11 and should beat them pretty easily unless they take it easy....so kings 11 end up with 14 points and get eliminted..

RR qualify as the 4th team and make it to semis......This is what would eventually happen!!

Go and fukk yourself you loser, that Sarthak Sharma gave you a much needed dose of reality, what nonsense are you talking??
You are saying RR deserves to be in semis?? I have never seen a bigger azzhole than you...
Delhi will win IPL and if anyone can stop them, it is only the Deccan chargers team..
Wonderful Sarthak Sharma, keep on giving it to this loser who thinks he is very smart, just a troll!!

You want to make it intelligent?? okie, no problem....

Then don't resort to stupid vulgar language and cheap abuses cos it only shows your pitiful level......

Ok fine...you hyped up DDD so much...last year, they had more or less the same team...how do you expalin their cheap and meek capitulation to the unfancied RR team in the semifinals last year??

This year, RR is so weak cos of the absence of Tanvir and Watson and Smith's indifferent form....yet they have already beaten DDD once.....why can't your overwhelmingly superior Delhi team trounce this team of journeymen cricketers, if i may say so??

In IPL cricket, RR is 3-2 over DDD...which means in 5 encounters, they have beaten the fancied DDD team thrice.......if what you are saying was true, DDD should have been 4-1 over RR, assuming that RR is capable of a "freak' win...to use your word.........

Bhasma whatever, you are lying. The first comment you made was personal. That explains your denail.I believed RR was over-rated and not "over-hyped',there's subtle difference between the two and I don't want to have english lessons here.So anyway,I maintain they are way off this season, and would be disappointing to see them in the crucial games.I want entertainment. Not unwanted chuckers and boozers.I'm off.

I hope THIS time,THIS time you don't get frustrated and start abusing, cos this time I ain't gonna waste my time with you.It wasn't me who stooped low enough to start cussing.

No.1-Yes RR were a champion side. You will never,I repeat NEVER find a comment from me saying RR were a bad side last year.Last year was different. It's quite childish to equate IPL 09 performance with 08.I've respected the RR performance of IPL 08.If you ever,EVER read my message before motoring along the path of constant curses you would have noticed, and don't say no cos to generate proof here is quite simple. You just have to look back and see that.Delhi was a horrible performer last year.RR was fantastic. If this gives you sadistic pleasure here you go.But you expected me to be judgemental and defend Delhi's last year performance too.But hey,it's no fun being unsporting. You need to learn that.

No.2-My whole talk started with RR being over-rated THIS IPL season. If repitition makes you understand better,THIS SEASON.IPL 09.Played in SOUTH AFRICA.In a tournament like IPL where every side's composition changes before you can blink, every side's prospects of winning and losing are dynamic and bound to change. That's why its sinful to compare 08 and 09.Hell,the piches, players, every freakin thing is different??..How does the thought of IPL 08 even arrive? To be contd..

No.2(continued)- With my views regarding RR its true they miss Watson,Tanvir et al and that could be part of the reason why they aren't up to the mark, but that's baseless because last year I can say Delhi didn't have Dirk Nannes!!But that's not the way to go.Why I said RR is over-rated is because their middle-order is not performing, their bowling is weak and that showed against one of the best batting sides when they couldn't manage more than 3 wickets.

No.3-I'm disgusted with Warne complaining about that single which Abhishek Nayar took when he himself was accepting beer from the crowd and 2 of their players have been reported for suspect action. He's a fantastic captain, and that doesn't suit him. That single didn't matter in the end and I think RR got away with it the other day against MI,but even that time I knew much more would be required against champions like Chennai and Delhi.I'm yet to be proved wrong.

Always remember one thing-The moment you get personal, you've showed your weakness.Never do that.

by Sarthak Sharma on May 18, 2009 02:52 PM

Pity we didn't get to see Warner,McGrath or for that matter Vettori in action or either of these. In that case the victory margin would have been a lot higher.A side which was experimenting didn't lose more than 3 wickets is pure class.Hats off.If RR has to go anywhere, they must improve their bowling and middle-order form. This tournament has become quite competitive it seems.I'm keen to watch McGrath in action. He's a legend.Should they give him a try fellas?
