I am a great fan of CSK and Dhoni

But on the basis of their batting performance they truly deserved to lose their match yesterday against RCB.

In the first six overs, there are only two fielders outside the 30 yard (meter?) circle, and it is amazing that Vijay meticulously chose the area where Uthappa was standing to play an audacious stroke at that stage. (When Haydos was going great guns and all that Vijay required to do was rotate strike).

Raina played a very casual shot without application of mind to be caught by Merwe.

Despite a couple of good knocks played by Badrinath in the last few matches, I maintain that he is just a great Ranji player. He scratched around before being out. The guy does not seem to have learnt anything from his skipper about the need to score a few singles soon after arriving at the crease. He looks for big hits, just like Balaji or Muralitharan!

I really do not know why CSK is persisting with Oram and Morkel. Parthiv Patel and Ntini will be much better replacements for these two.

CSK may as yet be lucky to sail through to the semi finals. But they have not exactly lived up to the expectations of many fans like us till now, first losing a winnable match against Mumbai, then against Delhi.

CSK's probability to win IPL semi-final is very thin. Even if it win semi-final, surely lose in final with DD. The reasons are,

1. They do not have any team work among them.
2. There is lot of mis-understanding with Dhoni among the players.
3. Dhoni is changing the batting order almost in every match.
4. No-one knows that why Raina has not bowled a single over in yesterday match.

Now is it upto Dhoni and CSK management to spiritualize his team.

So it is very clear that Delhi Dar. is having better chance than any other team to win IPL-2.

First, L Balaji should be dropped from the remaining matches. Bangalore was almost lost the match. Because of his poor fielding and bowling, CSK lost match otherwise, CSK would have won the match. Sorry to Dhoni to have poor team mates.

Balaji sucks no brains and when required to bowl below knee level, gives a nice raising delivery to be smote for a huge 6

Mr. John Travolta, the fact is that CSK threw away the match. If they had batted to their potential and scored something like 160-175, then one would have seen the real test of Kumble yesterday.

I have no grudge though - fortune after all favours the brave, not the ones who grumble and fumble.

for your kind information.....Royal Challengers has beaten Chennai Super Kings twice in this tournament.
In the first match it was not Taylor but Rahul Dravid who nailed Dhoni's men.
Yeah...CSK without Hayden is definitely another Kolkata Knoght Rider...!!!!!

if dravid, taylor and kallis played to their potential, they would have won the match in 8th over itself, and if kumble and praveen kumar and kallis bowled to their potential,, CSK would have been all out for 50 runs,
Now u can tell lot of things that didnt happened, but u cannot deny the fact that has happened, isn't it

Kumble was a better captain than dhoni even in test matches.
Dhoni is just overhyped by his media friends & NDTV.

128 was CSK's potential in front Kumble's great bowling and captaincy. Don't live in a dream land. And for your kind information Kumble doesn't bat so chasing 50 or 200 doesn't prove anything about him. Make sense out of your comments.

If kumble starts to show his potential, then half of the CSK team wouldn't dare to come out of their dressing room to bat on the ground.

You are right ashish kumar.Dhoni is overrated and overhyped player. Neither he is a perfect keeper or batsman. His captaincy is also doesn't have any logic. He is winning because he has some good and inform players in the team..

Wild Card Entry Scheme
by M A on May 15, 2009 06:30 AM  | Hide replies

Hi friends!
Why not have a "wild card" entry system in IPL.After all IPL is all about entertainment and the Indian public is used to see Wild Card entries in their TV Soaps.Mr.Lalit Modi should have powers to give any two teams wild Card entry in IPL Season II Semi Finals so that (our masterpiece) Shah Rukh Khan’s team Knite Riders directly get into the semifinals as a wild card entry

and whichever team gets to play them in semis gets a walkover to finals!!!!!

watch out for RR,CSK,DD,DC this year.

RR--simply superb as a "team".ystday warne just relived 99WC SF against SA(ask Pollock)

DD--power backed batting, bowling balance is a worry though...Bhatia cant bowl them to victory in every match esp against stronger/professioanl outfits like chennai and Rajasthan.

DC---Balanced.But loses crunch matched.depends heavily on Gilly. But in Gibbs, rohit and Dwayne still have the power in batting.Bowling variation biggest asset.best to defend totals.

CSK-easily the "strongest' side ystdya's performance was caused due to 2 greats-Kumble nad kallis(bowled CSK over).it wont happen often.Just got to remove Balaji replace him with another bowler who can give away only around6-7 runs per over.

These teams will clash in SFs...

Kingsxi last years SFs just dont have the bowling....sorry

dd- has a balanced bowling and batting lineup withd karthik devillers dilshan
nannes nehra sangwan mishra in good form

dc-no good foriegn bowler hurts them

csk-execpt morkel bowling attack is weak terrible fielders
