Warne is wonderful leader
by ak on May 08, 2009 01:36 PM  | Hide replies

I think we should learn from Shane warne. His off field antics not withstanding, his cricket is surely to be emulated. With limited resources he has propelled RR to top of table despi indifferent start to tounament. His team's comfortable victory against resurgent RCB is ample proof of that. We should be tahnkful to him for unearthing new talents for indian team Kamran Khan. How he encoraged him to bowl to Ganguly to extract unlikely victory from Jaws of defeat. Hail Warne!!!

Praveen Kumar runout - on an aside
by Cric Fan on May 08, 2009 12:57 PM

Quote - Praveen Kumar (7/4) was run-out in a bizarre manner, hitting straight back to the bowler and setting out for a run (apologies, we can't explain the logic behind it) -- unquote.

I recall one Azharuddin who used to do similar things during the match-fixing days. I can even now hear Sunil Gavaskar commentating at the time and his stunned voice saying - what is he doing? committing hara-kiri... well, Praveen being around would not have saved RC from the loss anyway, so no question of fixing i guess...

where are Uthappa supporters now?
by Bipul Kumar on May 08, 2009 11:32 AM

Where are Uthappa supporters now who wanted him to replace Ravindra Jadeja in India's WC T20 team. He is so damn inconsistent.

where is goswami
by jaguar tech on May 08, 2009 11:27 AM  | Hide replies

Goswami has always performed in the given opportunity, god knows why he was replaced by Jaffer. they lost the game there itself. Although it looks one sided I am pretty sure another 30 runs would have made the game interesting. Uthappa is another Ar8se hole he likes belting the lower rung bowlers but when the frontline bowlers are on he always falters, may be RCB should use him lower down. Get Bracken in the team. Appanna was again performing but he is also out. I think we need Akhil in place of Vinay who anyway looks wasted at least Akhil can slog. Maybe get Goswami keeping in place of Boucher and somehow accomadate Bishnoi. Bishnoi up front in the first 6 overs if he can get a couple of sixers can get the innings going. the problem for Bangalore in all the matches they have lost they have lost in teh first 6 overs itself
