I don't think experience matters at all when it comes to cricket. It was a shocker for me when I same both Jaisurya and Sachin throwing their wicket away while chasing a megre 119. While defending 150 both of them bowled conceded too many runs when strike bowlers had overs left. If they can't do some basics right after having sooo much of experience, I think selectors should stop fretting about experience altogether while selecting the team.

Here is the strategy for Mumbai to win 1.Let Malinga open the new ball just like he did for first few games when Mumbai won all their games. The moment Zaheer opened the attack, mumbai started loosing. 2.Sachin should come at no 4 and let rahane open with jayasurya. This way the top order and lower order can feel confident and play great cricket by mere fact that sachin is at no 4. 3.Sachin should never bowl.
The initial power play overs they always allow the bowlers to dominate by guaging the pitch too long....and guaranteed to loose one of the openers (9 out of 10 times) while attempting to up the rate... Then another wicket they for sure revert to puusy cat batting (I am pretty sure they never heard of the term 'counter attack') just nudging the ball around till 15/16th over and then a late charge, this way they are never going to post an imposing total. (Match against KKR is an exception)
Sachin's captaincy exploits are well known.Sachin has time and again proved that captaincy is one area where he has not really proved himself. His captaincy term fro India was a disaster, so has been his Mumbai Indians journey.Under his captaincy they have failed to defend 150 and failed to chase 119, what more can we say ? Statistics dont lie. It would be wise mumbai indians drop sachin down the order and get a new captain, may be sanath be given the captaincy, if they wish to do better in the tournamanet.Sachin can stabalize the middle order and do some late hitting, at the same time play freely.Sanath who has a better record in captaincy than sachin, can do a better job.Its now or never..the management cant wait till the end of the tournament to make this move.

Keep your opinion about Sachin to yourself. We urge BCCI to make it a rule to nominate Indian as the captain of all the team. foreigners are getting feee ride on many occasion, and we are sending a message that foreigners are better than Indian players/ coaches/ strategists,... Stop this non-sense if we are to become no. 1. We are very close to no. 1, and we are very capable of getting there with Indian coaches/ strategists, ... We may need fielding coaches from foreign countries, because they are ahead in that part of the game.

Dude, it's cricket and not government job. Yuvraj, Sehwag, Dhoni and Kumble are doing well as captain so they need not be replaced. Ganguly was good and it was needless from SRK to replace him. But Sachin is not doing well even after having a very strong team. No point having a poor captain just he is an Indian or has huge experience or is a great player. I fully agree with Krishna.

How silly of you. BCCI is a private club and has nothing to do with Govt. Get your facts right before you fart around.
Sachin has to pick him self up first..and perform consistently..How about coming down the order, when there is more pressure in this format? would he dare to do that ? i doubt it..It was a pathetic display from mumbai indians inspite being the most talented team in the batting and bolwing department..i guess its only on paper..Sachin should lead the team by being consistent himself, not just against some of the weaker opposition like Kolkata but also against some of the better teams.
A look at the Indian T 20 squad worries me. Except Yusuf Pathan who has been failry amongst the runs and Sehwag who defies all predictions, no one is firing. We had a Raina cameo once and a Zaheer 3 wicket burst once. Other than that, where are the performers?

Yuvi's hattrick and scoring 50 in a losing battle. Raina is superb so far. RP got few wickets giving up few runs. Sehwag and Gambhir can be in runs any time. In 20-20 version we need only 2-3 out of 6 batsmen to click. It is only 20 over game and most of the time the innings are over after 5-6 wickets down. I do not understand why do they keep more than six batmentin the team; I would have included 5 bowlers and six batsmen including the wk.
John Buchanan wants the IPL to allow more overseas players in a XI. Under the current rules, a franchise can have a maximum of four foreign players in a XI. There can be a maximum of 10 foreign players in the squad. kick out this bukaa aadmi who wants to convert Indian Premier league to International Premier League.

The way the players are performing, it has been an International Premier league. Really no standout consistent performances from the Indian players.
Kumble could motivate & bind his team together for 1st time in the IPL and the Positive Energy is flowing through the team now. Mallaya wasted money on Peter Ka Son while the trigger was within the team
