You could only say it as when the move would be unsuccessfull. But it was successfull move and Dhoni deserves appreciation for that.

If he can say he is playing bad, why you are taking it negatively. Will his poor form good for CSK? People are free to think anything about him. But everyone can say poor performance of team can affect only on Dhoni's IPL career. May be he will lost his captaincy next season, his value can be decreased.

Dhoni is most consistent batsman along with Gambhir in last 1 year. Don't compare his consistency with Sehwag.

C'mon boys! Accept that Dhoni is a "Man"! He has the temperament and unbaffled attitude to click in crunch situations! He accepts responsibilities so that others can flex their muscles and play their natural game.
Do you know that Dhoni purposefully curbs his whirlwind approach to provide steadfastness to crackers like Gauti, Viru, Raina & Yusuf!
As far as one day cricket is concerned Dhoni is definitely at par with all of the above and has the capability to win matches all on his own AND even in crunch situations!
As far as all forms of game is concerned Sehwag is already in a totally different league. Gauti is reaching there and if he continues in the same fashion he will be there next year itself.
But after saying all that, consider this:
1. Viru & Yusuf have the capacity to turn a match upside down; so does Dhoni! But he can also play responsible innings! Such roles are not assigned to Viru and Yusuf!
2. You had the same Viru, lurking in his shadows when one Chappel was around. It takes a Dhoni to bring the best out of a Viru, Raina, Yusuf, Rohit, Yuvi and host of others! Even Sachin paaji agreed that he can bat freely now (for the first time in his entire cricketing career) and that shows!
3. Well boys, all other names mentioned above apart from MSD are of batsmen or batsmen allrounders. Only MSD is the best/ smartest/ unflappable wicket-keeper the country has now. So he walks in to the team anyways! His batting and captaincy skills are bonus!

It was daring move and it worked for CSK. (1)Dhoni himself scored and got his form back. (2)Raina also scored good runs. (3)CSK won.

Not only Dhoni. Each batsman should be rated on based of situation. Like Dravid when we need to hold wickets fall, Sehwag we need to pace the inning etc.

anyway, it is good for India to have Dhoni in form (though was a huge risk to CSK). This would have never happened in EPL or ABL where they don't care abt individuals or countries. Only teams/ team victories are important. In IPL, there is lot of nationalistic jingoism. So, the IPL is somewhere in between what is good for Private vs Country!
