KKR is now slumdog of IPL 2 (underdog)
by Kuldeep Khatau on May 02, 2009 07:09 AM  | Hide replies

Lot was expected from Gayle and McCullum and this is the Prime reason why Gangully was sidelined before the start of the tournament. If IPL 2 was played in India then Gangully wud hv remained Caption and things wud not be as bad as now. After a series of losses the dressing room morale wud be touching new lows like stock market. They have to pull of 4 to 5 wins to be able to reach top 4. This will be difficult after Gayle's exit. I Hope Boka-NUN realises what a blunder he has made in this tournament.
To be fair there were 2 close matches played by KKR in fact there was 1 tie where they lost in Super Over to RR (Y.Pathan). So I guess they have been a bit unlucky so far. If McCullum finds form then there is chance for KKR else Hodge and Gangully cannot win this WAR.

Now the c0mmies can try to move a motion in parliament.. or have a new election promise saying that "we will make cricket ilegal unless Saurav is part of the team and it's captain in any form of the game".. then IPL and BCCI can permanently shift to SA... no??

Ganguly.. win war... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.. Perhaps you did not see what happened to him yesterday... People were trying to compare him, Rahul and Sachin as class acts playing in this tournament when it started. The difference is that while Sachin and Rahul have the keen desire to play and win, this guy seems to have forgotten how to bat. All that he does is crib and create politics.. Rahul is playing under another captain.. What is Saurav's issue then? Just his ego that's all... And all of Kolkata will cry when he does... So silly all you Bo0ngs are.. Find somebody else younger to support.. Stop supporting this old m0r0n just because he is from your state

Rahul's class act was that when he begged like a mongrelin front of Sourav to retain him in the team . THINK of class .....a player playing in the test side after being humiliated a thousand times...ask to bring water..keep wickets...hahahahah...class in IPL...look at the previous IPL

Difference between Bengalis and others
by ketan Desai on May 02, 2009 03:12 AM  | Hide replies

The real issue is with Bengali people, who get to cheer one person in 2 centuries in any walk of like be it sports, politics or whatever...

In last 80 years they got just one person named Saurav Ganguly, other then him they do not have anyone in past, current or in future times whom then can support...so for obvious reason they want Ganguly to be in limelight as long as possible....

For the people of Western, Northern, southern region people they have 1000's of names it has been a long list whom they can quote in sports be it cricket, politics or any other subject for that matter...

In 2050 also while discussing cricket bengalis will have just one name and that will be Saurav Ganguly....

I am from Pondicherry(South India). Let me tell you one thing I like Ganguly very much than any other Indian cricketer. It is people like you with short-mindedness are thinking that only Bengalis celebrate Ganguly. Ganguly is Indian hero, he is celebrated all over India. Ganguly is one of role models for the youngsters. It is not that Bengal has not produced anyone like Ganguly, it is India which has not produced any one like Ganguly. Try to appreciate others achievements. I have not seen single match after Ganguly is dropped from Indian team. There are many people all over India who like Ganguly(their voices are not heard aloud). He doesnt need your certification. His achievements are unique and unparalleled. I love DADA!!!

4 names which bengalis discuss all the time.

1. Rabindranath Tagore - Who did not even mentioned Southern state in the Jana Gana Mana....

2. Subhash Chandra Bose

3. Bankim Chandra

4. Sourav Ganguly

I have nothing against bengalis but they seems to have a superiority complex...for them it is ME.ME ..Bengalis first then Indian

Please stop demeaning people on regionalism. Same things are said about people from other regions like tamilians, Bihari etc. The fact is talent is randomly distributed and nature is not biased. Having said that I agree that Bengalis are quite proud of themselves so they should realize that too.

Looking at what's been written on this page, I can only say - "We Indians are Racist". Plain and simple. No use calling the people from UK, US, Aus, etc. racist. We cannot agree among ourselves.

First we divide ourselves on the basis of religion and then on the basis of region.

Phir bhi dil hai Hindustani......

Jai ho !!!!

Ketan-please check your wordings before posting;it is really inviting in terms of disputed comments.Do not ignore the contribution of that state in the field of art and culture eversince you have started talking.

Better to refrain from making such communal coments, rather do not expose your short sightedness.

Stupid SRK
by Vijay Mishra on May 02, 2009 02:28 AM

KKR is paying the price of having an incompetant owner. He should have taken advice from Gavasker, Kapil, Sandeep Patil etc,,,many on the line who follow the game closely and have good opinion about players. DADA surely had to be the Captain of KKR and he would have groomed the side slowly to victory with his fighting spirit. Instead SRK has come back is dancing at marriages etc. at the cost of lakhs of kolkata fans.

KKR paying price of not playing Cheteshwar Pujara
by Rajiv Pandya on May 02, 2009 02:09 AM  | Hide replies

KKR had bought Cheteshwar Pujara last season but didn't play him, not sure this time around his is there in the team or not.

One of the best ranaji indian player who made three triple centuries in 2008 would have certainly made the difference if he was played.

DEfinately SRK should respect him for his cricketing expertise. By the way anyone heard of coach Buckanan having any record in his name of playing cricket.
