That was not after following on. India batted first, got bowled out for 81, then NZ scored 232(approx), and then India batted again to score 505/3. So that was not a follow on case.
This match, Gambhir overs played 75,runs 153, Dravid overs played 75,runs 145, Laxman, overs played 60,runs 200, Sachin overs played 32 runs 113. 4 of them together saved match for India. Good team effort by the fab 4.

the best thing is that the kiwis think sehwag is the man to get, when they have to deal with these 4!

Agree.. Once NZ got Shewag cheaply, they thought that the match is in their pockets, but it was not the case, when you have champion batsmen to come and a dead pitch

Except Dhoni for Karthik as you pointed out, if he is fully fit. Back injuries do not heal quickly.

Munaf paid a hefty price for sloppy field placements by Sehwag. Besides several catches were dropped of Munaf's bowling. You can't drop a bowler for one unlucky match.

ya you are absolutely right. I think it was Sehwag who gave the chance to kiwis to fightback after disasterous start.
