Good Move by ICL

Now they will be able to save some money as NZ players have not been popular. ICL should extend the same offer to PAK players.

Let us not blame BCCI as both BCCI and ICL are for profit. Let them fight each other. Let's notforget that BCCI spens significant money on loss making Ranji Trophies and Test matches, where as ICL only makes profit from T20 matches.

Mr. ALok Pradhan,
Cn you tell me who is BCCI to decide that they will not play ICL players and without speaking that those (Indian)players are not ther countrymen.
Profit? everyone is for profit here.
One player can purchase a bungalow of Rs. 35 crore and other's no where near to it.

Also whoe are they stop pension of previous cricketers who were part of Indian Team and the famous one.

This BCCI has double faces, Biased for western region doesn't tolerate players from outside.

Hey Dudess,

Bond joined ICL only after seeking permission from the NZ cricket board. At that time there was no question on threat to his career.
As per the money, the life of a fast bowler is very short when compared to others. What's wrong with making some money when you can thought legal means??

BCCI goons
by wizardo id on Mar 29, 2009 08:51 PM

what else do BCCI represent ? they are the bullies with ill-begotten money. why else will they exonerate corrupt cricketers on the sly ? SA did a great job cleaning up their system, cronje paid dearly with his career, and embarassment.

no such thing for azar! he's a star now and with the best opportunity to make more money the way he did when he was with bcci! jai sharad pawar, rajeev shukla, etc etc

Goon BCCI
by kalyan ram on Mar 29, 2009 07:34 PM  | Hide replies

BCCI is acting like an goon nowadays.....why dont BCCI see on the positive side that ICL acts as an compliment to indian cricket giving chances to players who dont get their place in national cricket team?....Instead conduct matches between ICL players and BCCI players in that way BCCI can unearth unknown talents in ICL and give them an chance to play for national team....I absolutely see no harm in ICL....

Non cricketers,Babus(Read administrative service officers),shrewd businessmen run the BCCI and rollin hay while the players get a raw deal. All those who do not make it to national side etc., languish in darkness unwept and unhonoured.
Long time ago players made or tried to make an association but it failed or was it tact fully crushed.
The ICL came up because it was an attempt to break away from BCCI's monopoly. It helped a lot of players to earn decent living and hone their skills.
The BCCI can not treat them like untouchables..No one seems to be protesting. The public has to make a hue and cry.No game will be successful if we do not support it.The BCCI tries to be the GOD.
This should be strongly condemned.
Shane Bond is an extremely gifted pacer that NZL has.It is a shame that they can not respect him better.

Well said. In short, ICL is acting like a very professional organization, while BCCI is acting like a goon organization.
