It's a forgone conclusion. They shoul have done better during nz inning. The fielding was horrible. If you check the stats, majority of the time team ends up losing when facing a uphill task. It becomes a mind game and best of the best don't overcome that. Just like in golf. Once you know how to play golf, its all mind from there on.
This would happen to any team who is facing a huge uphill task of over 600 runs. Yes, they could've done better not giving up that many in the first place, but once that happens it's a foregone conclusion. It becomes a mind game once you see the big total. Mind is way more powerful. Just like in golf. Once you know how to play golf, the mind determines how you going to play on a any given day. Check the stats, majority of the time the team that is chasing a big total ends up losing. Miracles don't happen often. Our fielding was horrible so deserve to lose this one.

dhoni n his team enjoyed the nz holidays for 2 days skipping practice sessions. but as long as dhoni was winning, no one was there to question such things. but once v start having bad times, these things wud definitely come out. nz improved from their first test performance whereas v deteriorated ours. thanx to carelessness n mood of enjoying vacation skiping practice asuming that v hv nothing more to achieve.
Dear Friend, 2 days are left in this test. Everything is not lost yet. We have to belive in our strength & that is batting. Lets see what happens in next two days. Come on India.
Its Indian's perinial problem of not bowling or batting well on bouncy wickets. We may have won few tests abroad but no way are consistent on all types of wickets! So being no 1 can only be a pipe dream!

they done well in Aus especially in Perth and not so badly in SA!!
Looking at this match NZ were not supposed to get to 600 odd clearly the wicket warranted 400 odd runs and if the bowling did not look tired or the catching was adequate I doubt NZ would have got more than 300 odd!
India is in a situation that it will be great if it can save the match. Winning is nowhere in the horizon. Having said that Sehwag's two failures with the bat are painful to see and digest. As a captain he has to carefully assess his role and plan the response to match the huge total put on the board by the opponent. It comes to our mind 'IF DHONI WAS ONLY THERE!’ Now it is to be seen that Tendolkar, Dravid and Lakshman can do something to draw the match. Both Lakshman & Dravid has done that type of miracle in the Calcutta test against Australia. Come on the duo do it again
Things are looking quite dismal for India. India's only match winners and savers are Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman, Dhoni and Yuvi. Sehwag is already out. The law of averages/probably is likely to work against Dravid and Laxman, who have already done well in the 1st innings. Dhoni is not playing and Yuvi is not focussed. Sachin has never done well in a crunch situation/2nd innings/difficult track. So things look quite dismal for India right now. Only a miracle will save us.

would not say never ... only a few months ago he scored 100 odd to chase 300 odd down. Think there are numerous other situations were he batted well second innings. Yuvraj is turning out to be a dissappointment in Tests he clearly lacks the mental fortitude for it.
