Sehwag cannot be success captain if cannot remove politicians
by D S on Mar 27, 2009 07:48 PM

Sehwag cannot be success captain if cannot remove politicians for Dhoni like Yuvi...
Yuvi lives on such favours.
Sehwag needs to consider replacement for Harbi who again lives on favours and politics when he is out of form..
Remove other useless batsmen that are there due to regional lobby. Laxman has to prove this time because they now have Karthik.

DHONI SHOULD HAVE PALYED..
by Junior Shelly on Mar 27, 2009 07:33 PM  | Hide replies

EVEN THOUGH HE HAD A BACK SPASM, AS THE CAPTAIN OF THE TEAM, HE SHOULD HAVE PLAYED IN THIS TEST. NOT AS WICKET KEEPER, BUT AS A 'BATSMAN'. REMEMBER THAT PAKISTANI LEGEND WASIM AKRAM USED TO WEAR BANDAGE TO SUPPORT HIS INJURED BACK ALL THE TIME. INDIANS MISSED A TRICK HERE.

u may be right but considering the amount of cricket that is still to be played this year it's good that dhoni has got a rest...who knows if he would have played maybe his problem could have worsened....

Dhoni is is clever guy
by fahim siddiqui on Mar 27, 2009 04:14 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni is a person who play when conditions are easier, whenever he see that pitch is doing nothing and flat he promotes himself up the order and make centuary, whenever he see wickets are falling and its difficult to stay on pitch he comes at 6th and even at 7th down and wait till ball gets old and stop swinging. its mind game from dhoni how he is keeping his average more than 50 even in ODIs!!! strange na! it might be possible that he has realised that in this kind of pitch it is difficult to bowl out newelant out before 600 or even 700 and he prefers to stay out from game. otherwise it is hard to belive how he took injury just before toss! Great going dhoni, keep it up and stay no. 1 in ICC Rankings!

while looking at yuvraj in consistancy, In my view only sahwag and gambhir are the true batsman in this current indian Team

Fahim i think you are right. Dhoni is very clever in this sense. he always slows down the pace of match in one days pilling the pressure on other settled batsmen. Once they are out then he play his strokes and become hero.

u r really sick and just need reason to criticise.....at least he has got a good average and also winng matches under his belt.... and in india when a cricketer retires people will see his average not his no of sixes and fours.....

Laxman as captaiin
by ramesh vemuganti on Mar 27, 2009 03:56 PM

No blame game , it is cricket folks . N Zealand and Tailor deserve the accolades. It is some issue with Veeru"s captaincy , for N Zealand posting a mammoth score. definitely he is not in the class of captains as Dhoni is. So what , how many good cricketers are great captains , very very few. It is also a lesson for India . We must look beyond Sehwag , like at Laxman for test cap now , he has tons of exp , a senior guy who has not been tried despite being a field proven captaincy material. Ramesh Vemuganti

Injury can be to any player. This aspect is well examined by the doctors, team management and it is needless to comment on whether Dhoni was injured or not. Coming to the point, that without Dhoni Team India can not play unitedly at all, is a very very bad signal, if it is so. If the players are dedicated to the game, then they should be able to perform their best under any circumstances. Team India's perfomance has not been very consistent in all forms of the game. They sometimes play their best and sometimes, the worst. They should be able to maintain a standard consistently, in order to be a top team in the world. Attitude should be to talk less and perform best in the field for all the players. At times, fielding from the Indian side has been horrible, what to talk about any standard. This looks very shameful. It is hoped that Team India saves this Test Match to the satisfaction of Indian viewers. THANKS.

I think whatever has been writeen below is just not correct. How can u judge Team India's performance by just 1 test innings. Its too early to say anything. As af as comments on Dhoni are concerned where were all you guys when Team India was doing well. It is absolutely not self centric approach. Nobody plans ingury.

Moreover when he promoted hinself up the order it was very good decision. Had he not scored runs u guys would have been complaining then now that he had scroed still u people r complaining.

Just relax guys.

Mate, if you could string a decent sentence together you might have a chance of other people believing your ramblings. At least you're having a go, and I respect that.

Back to the cricket: Ryder's the best batting talent to come out of NZ in the last decade. I hope his story gets the fairytale sporting ending it deserves.

I think you have lost your head dude.....u r one of those guys who just wants reasons to criticize. Why would dhoni fake injury when he is infact doing really well.??? faking is the job of those who fail and are afraid to fail, n o dont think that dhoni has has failed ever, remember he is yet to lose a test match as a captain. And yeah, indians love such belter tracks...so dhoni would be itching to play on this track.....

They should've sent VVSLaxman to open the innings. Then no wicket would've fallen. He is the only batsman capable of merely shouldering the bat for every delivery till monday evening.
