mark Waugfh is one of the most jealous players in the cricketing history. He hates Indians. The world of cricket would be better off without publishing his daft comments.Waugh, just sit tight in Australia and dont you dare come to India.

Dear Mark, What is a natural slip catcher? Is it a skill that you are born with? Or is it a result of good reflexes, concentration, hand-eye coordination and anticipation? Something that be practiced and learned.
How does it matter whether you are a better slip catcher or no. Dravid has drawn level with Mark & will overtake him come what may. Mark's comments do stink... You are a loser, mate.

Well said buddy... What matters is the result... not how you achieved it...

Dravid way ahead of Mark Wuagh as a batsman. Mark did not have to face the great Aussie bowlers like Dravid did. Even otherwise Dravid is better than Mark as a batsman. In fielding Mark may have the edge a bit.
MArk waugh was an average batsmen who used to play well only on flat pitches, and used to take easy catches at slip. THis led people to believe that he's an all time great in fielding and batting. But Dravids technique's miles better in batting and has taken far more tougher catches than waugh coz in India, the ball foes not carry unlike in Aus, where the pitches are faster. Aus have once again proved themselves to be sour losers, and cant handle losing records.

Its not because Aussies are sour losers, its because we Indians are so obsessed with records, that we forget and forgive anything and everything for just the sake of a record. Its as simple as that.

spin it whichever way u may, aussies are sour losers. Whenever anybody is about to overtake them, they come up with trash like mark to somehow feel important. And wasnt it like, aussie play for team and not worried about personal records ?. Then why is this overgrown kid mark worried so much ?.

Indians are obsessed with Records yes but who said "India is the last frontier to conquer. Isn't that trying to go for a record."
Dravid declared when Tendulkar was on 194 playing against Pakistan. What do you think about that?

if you remember that match thn you should know how much time Tendulkar was taking...to win that match he took right decision
Rahul Dravid does have a funny technique while taking catches. He grabs the ball rather than collecting it. But other great slip fielders like Mark Waugh, Stephen Fleming, and Graeme Smith are much bigger men than Dravid and had / have bigger, bucket-like hands with which they just pouches the edges flying from the bat. It is a truth that Dravid has dropped more catches than Waugh and Taylor, but he has take some brilliant ones too...
"I actually think they should have a statistic of how many catches you drop, like baseball - that's probably the best judge of how good a catcher you are," Waugh was quoted as saying by 'Sydney Morning Herald'.

Kumble was the bowler and it was a left hander batsman.. same ball same type of catch and same result... ha ha ha (Dropped)... but still i do not understand that why Ganguly like to stand in slip despite being a low profile fielder (worst in slip)....

yes ur ri8 ru talkin abt champions trophy game v/s SA think where ganguly droped 2 simple catches on successive deliveries
Mark Waugh ur absolutely right Rahul Dravid is not a natural catcher like U otherwise he would have caught a lot of catches thrown at him by bookies and match fixer's but what to do he is honest man, He does not have the cash reflexes OOPS catch reflexes like U have coz all these things come so naturally to aussies isnt it.
So U have preved again that aussies are no1 in either betting or cheating coz U take the cake for betting and the player whom U consider will break Rahul Dravid's record Ricky Ponting is no1 cheater.
Thanx Mark Waugh for enlighting us with ur remarks about reflexes, agility and concentration to cheat :-)

you are brutal in what you said, but yes its true up to an extent, its like american, if they do bad its mistake, if we do bad its on purpose, if we have something great its because of some help from something, but they are naturally great. if dravid is not a natural catcher fine, but he still is on the top and not because of cheating but because of the effors he puts in, if he was a natural catcher he would have crossed this mark way before you were even named MARK.
Re: Yup ur right Mark Waugh..............

No...Sachin has overtaken Ricky Ponting as the No: 1 cheater during the last test.

You are wierd dude...what has slip catching got to do with match fixing...lets face the truth, Dravid is a great slip fielder, but guys like Mark Waugh and Taylor were better...
Re: Re: Yup ur right Mark Waugh..............
by Varun on Mar 27, 2009 11:16 PM
Truth teller is here. Which explains why mark was a lousy catcher against spin. Dravid does both!. Fact of the matter is mark is worried about his record being overtaken by a non aussie and is showing his true color. Fake mark and his mean nature.

Lousy catcher against spin.... hahahhahaaaaaaaa...dude, you are such a loser...Go get a life. He stood at the first slip to Shane Warne the entire matches they played together, and took some great catches.... Dude...think before you talk..!!

by Varun on Mar 28, 2009 06:51 AM
hahaha. loser dude u need that life. Mark was a bad catcher at slip against spin. watch the matches again. Additionally was awkward as well when catching against spin. Maybe his color is blinding you ? Just a thought!

We should not forget that the slip catches in fast bowling were less compared to aussies since we didn't have any great bowlers and the pitches don''t suit much to them...If we had, more catches would have been in Dravid's pocket....what say?
