Lalit Modi
by Walts Ds on Mar 26, 2009 07:47 PM  | Hide replies

Can anyone tell me who this Modi is and his background. I was watching his interview the other day and felt that he does not even have a common sense to let others complete what they are saying. How come he is such a big name all of a sudden. Can anyone help me to know his background. Taking IPL out of India ia such a shame to our country. He has proved that our country is not capable of providing good security and ran to different country. And he has also proved that cricket ( busineess) is far more important than the election which will decide the government of india and hence the furture of India. I have decided i will not watch these games. Are u with me?

What a shame
by Guest on Mar 26, 2009 07:27 PM

Its amazing that India had to take their most popular sports league outside the country. Its like taking MLB or NBA from US or EPL from UK to another country. What a shame...Also it would not had made any difference to either of the countries if IPL had not been staged in their country because SA has its eyes more on the Football world rather than a travelling circus from India & also England is getting ready for 2012 Olympics.

The english media shuld look at their own team which cannot even beat west indies(the odi they won was more due to windies coach dyson's fault in reading the d/l chart).......beaten 5-0 in india.they dare call the IPL refugee circus.......wen their board wanted so dearly to hold th IPL......they stil luk at india as a country that they once ruled bt today companies like TATA own UK brands like tetley, corus and landrover jaguar........richest person in UK is an indian.....L.N Mittal.........and MAN UNITED sends proposals to sahara and tata to sponsor their team(source:the times of india)........i cn hv just pity on the UK media

"for taking his refugee circus to South Africa was because of the weather. The IPL cheerleaders, in particular, will be relieved to perform their scantily clad gyrations in warmer climes than Old Trafford in April"

by vinay on Mar 26, 2009 01:49 AM

KP and flintof - "Their salary, which is paid on a pro-rata basis, will be cut as they are likely to only appear in three or four matches."
even otherwise, they were overpaid above their talent. so good to hv cut in their salary.

I think the cheer leaders will not have any problems in SA. Or will MNS go to South Africa and claim that since its IPL they will not allow cheer leaders to dance in short skirts??

lalit modi has submitted to china
by Arnold Coutinho on Mar 25, 2009 07:04 PM  | Hide replies

By giving IPL to South Africa, Lalit Modi has become the slave of China.

South Africa has become a slave to china by not allowing the Dalai Lama to visit South Africa.

IPL IN SOUTH AFRICA
by arunkumar khanna on Mar 25, 2009 05:56 PM  | Hide replies

THE ENGLISH MEDIA'S DISAPPOINTMENT AT NOT HAVING GOT TO STAGE THE SECOND EDITION OF THE IPL MAKES FOR INTERESTING READING.

FIRST STANFORD AND HIS ILL GOTTEN RIHES FELL OUT OF THEIR HANDS AND ENGLAND LOST THE MILLION DOLLAR T20 TO THE WEST INDIES IN A WINNER TAKE ALL MATCH.

NOW THE IPL HAS SLIPPED OUT OF THEIR HANDS AND THEY CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT ACCEPT TO GET A THANK YOU BUT SORRY NO NOTE FROM THE BCCI.

TRULY THE BRITISH MUST START TO LEARN THAT THE SUN HAS SET ON THE EMPIRE AND THEY SHOULD BEHAVING LIKE NORMAL CITIZENS OF THE WORLD.

MAYBE THE THRID EDITION MAYBE GIVEN TO THEM OR THE FOURTH WHO KNOWS. IPL SHOULD NOW MAKE THIS EVENT A ROTATING EVENT TO BE PLAYED IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES EVERY YEAR.
